You should also try it with "omnispeaker" turned off because it makes the high frequencies kinda crackle or sizzle, while making the bass sound hollow. I think it's some kinda ai generated stereo separation feature, but not meant for the equipment at hand.

I didn’t touch my legion go as after some update the speakers were sounding really bad. Just tried this and it makes the difference I’ve been looking for. HUGE thanks :)

So much better, thank you. I also found that turning loudness on and omnisound off helped a lot. Now it isn’t painful to listen to anymore.
