This current tutorial is all about showing How to Turn your Windows 8 Laptop into a WiFi Hotspot without using any third party software or tools. You can do it within couple of minutes and can access Internet on your Wireless devices in the next second. You no need to have any applications called connectify or Wireless Virtual Router.

After opening, select your WiFi or Ethernet or LAN connection which you would like to broadcast, right click then select Sharing. Here in the sharing options select Allow other Network users to connect through this computer's internet connection. If you get other options here then select Local Area Network. It's better to unselect second option and click Ok.

Now head over to Command Prompt by right clicking at the left bottom corner and from the options select Command Prompt (Admin). Now follow the video carefully and enter the commands drafted above.

worked for me:

If it does not work (keeps waiting at obtaining IP address) repeat the first step:
- go to "network connections", select the connection you want to share. Go to "properties" and "sharing".
- Deselect "Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection". Click "OK".
- Go to "properties" and "sharing" again.
 - select "Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection". Select the network you just created just below that. Click "OK"
- Try again to connect. Should work.

after i finish typing the second line (netsh wlan start hostednetwork) and press enter it just says "the hosted network could't be started. the group or resource is not correct state to perform the requested operation." so what do i do to fix it.

Also if it does not connect 1st time on your mobile, try again.

i have a usb modem (mts mblaze). i did as you instructed in the video, set up a "local area connection* 13" and when i searched for the wifi through my phone it showed the wifi connection but coudnt connect it. it stopped on "obtaining ip address" please help

What is administrative privilege? And on my laptop I require administrative privilege? It says you need administrative privilege!!
