This is such a mindblast! I started watching this channel from the very start of the pandemic and have not missed a day. It's a time-travel adventure to return to first one, where it all began. Now... in the year 2023, with well over a thousand posts, it is so cool to return to the beginning. A timeline treasure - Lee, you saved my sanity during the pandemic's dark days between 2020 and 2021. You're a light of civility.

The restraint is admirable. It’s not always easy to get out of the way and provide the anchor at the same time. Bravo, Lee.

That little slide at 3:07 = perfection. Such small details that can take a song to another level. Thanks for sharing.

Besides being a great bass player you are a greater human being. Thanks for your humane compassion for what is right. Stay healthy, Lee.

I just LOVE this. An intimate 1:1 bass lesson with Lee. This is priceless.

Thank you Leland. I will watch one a day 'till current. The guys asked me for a wedding gig, "Can you play like Leland Sklar?"
I said, "Guys! Nobody can play like him." And I worked for weeks. My appraisal was correct. Thanks again for sharing a style I have long aspired to. Rick Beato sent me here. And I'm never leaving!

A good bass player can make the simplest song sound incredible. That's what you do hear, sir. So good. Without those stay at home notes in the chorus, this song never leaves the studio. Awesome!

Thank you so much for doing this! I literally cried tears of joy since you and Phil are the very reason I make music for almost fifteen years. Drums at first, then bass guitar due to living in a small flat. It’s this unpretentious, direct style, making music that people touch. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Stay safe and healthy! Cheers!

Thank you so much. I literally have been "stealing" from you since the the first day I picked up a bass. As good of a bassist you are, you seem to be a better human. ✌❤

It's great to hear the part you played. Some surprising passing tones and pedals I hadn't heard before in the mix. Really brilliant voice leading. Thanks for letting us in on this.

I’m not a musician. Both my sons are but music has always been important in my life. Phil’s music included but Lee I have to tell you I really enjoyed this. I’ve never really heard the bass in such detail before by such an accomplished bassist before on a song I personally love. Now I understand why artists around the globe want you up there with them. Thank you for this. I’m subscribing in hope to seeing more of your awesome playing. Cheers from Newfoundland, Canada. Oh, keep well.

Leland Sklar is a huge inspiration for me. Doing exactly what a bass player should, but just way better!
