Homemade Lemonade Recipe

There is nothing more refreshing than turning fresh lemons into homemade lemonade. This recipe is fast and simple, it only takes about 5 minutes to make. So if you've ever wondered how to make lemonade I'm going to share with you how easy and simple it is.

RECIPE

1 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
4 Cups Water
Ice

Add the sugar and water to a saucepan and heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and set to the side for the simple syrup to cool.
Juice 6-8 lemons to get at least one cup of lemon juice.
Pour the lemon juice to a pitcher with 1 cup of the simple syrup
Add a few handfuls of ice and fill with 4 cups of water.
Taste the lemonade and adjust with water or simple syrup to taste.
Serve with freshly cut lemon slices and mint leaves.

I somethings use sparkling water in place of regular water in my lemonade.. Tastes great and sparkly.

Honestly, I don't know why people say that it's gritty and sour. First off I love sour so I dunno what the problem with that is, secondly, I've literally never made lemonade this way, heating it first... but every recipe calls for it. I just made it the same way i make it, just shove some water, lemon and sugar in a jar and put it in the freezer until fully chilled, shaking occasionally.
