That is very good in theory cheap 50$ chinese x79 motherboard with cpu + 16g ddr3 ahould work just fine as budget salad rig base

In theory if the AI jobs are customer driven based on the price they are willing to pay… it could be a matter of getting customers to utilize the “lower” system. Not sure it’s that simple, but seems like it would be that way vs crypto mining.

do the customer using Salad to rent AI computation services dictate what machines to use? Or does the salad team choose what rigs to choose for containers. I ask because 4000 series cards would look more appealing if the customers are picking rigs.
