I have a question. When you began your reef tank, how long after have you performed your first water change? Also, your tank water is very clear, do you run any media currently?

One other thing that you should be doing that they don't tell you about is to be putting the cuvette (vial) in the same way every time. The reason is that glass is has impurities and has differences throughout the vials. By inserting it in your hanna checker the same positing each time will give you a more consistent result. I know it seems like a minor detail, however we did some research using 20 different vials and doing them in random positions and the same positions. The test results were almost 100% more consistent when using the same vial and placing it in the checker the same way everytime. I using the 10ml mark on the front of the vial and place that facing me each time. I think you will find that to be worth doing every time. Also, I know that you say that it is not necessary to shake for 2 mins and I disagree with that to some extent. I do agree with you that it's probably disoved before 2 mins, however I am all about consistency when it comes to testing my water parameters and if you get into the habit of doing it the same way each time then you can be sure that your results are consistent. If you shake it for 45 seconds today and a minute 20 seconds the next time, then you are leaving yourself open for errors in your results. I am sure that you are a seasoned reefer and probably do just find on your own. I only added my 2 cents worth because your video was geared to the beginner and I think it is super important in this hobby to stress consistency. Anyway I like your videos. Keep up the good work.

Hi Eddie I Have The Hanna Ultra low Phosphate Checker and it says my phosphates are at 0.11. Thats a good number for a reef tank right?

I have noticed that even though I tighten the cap when I shake the vial water will come out it is not sealed.
