@2:02 Hanna ULR range upper testing limit is 0.9 and not 0.09 like incorrectly said in the video. In case anyone needs this info.

Tips:

Just buy the 774 and be done--no "progression" needed. I bought the 713 because of the "first year reefer" thing and the inaccurate statement of the max of 0.09 ppm. It's max is actually 0.9 ppm, she misspoke. Now I want the 774. The "pro tip" here is that the 774 tests up to 0.9 ppm and you don't want your phosphates ever anywhere near that high in a reef tank. Most people target somewhere around 0.03-0.1 ppm. The 736 is technically more precise, but the units are non-standard and require conversion or working in parts per BILLION and apparently it has timer issues causing it to shut off too fast. More tips: makes sure to immediately rinse your vials w/RODI water when done, twice. Then store the vials full of RODI water when not in use. Always wipe the vials clean with a microfiber cloth before testing to remove water, dust and fingerprints. Two vials are included w/each checker, but use the same one every time; you'll get more consistent results following these tips.

Hannah makes the best checkers hands down. But My biggest complaint is the packets being impossible to get all the powder out. They could either give you liquid reagent or a big bottle of powder with the same amount and a scoop

Someone kindly inform Hannah to increase the checker device auto-shutoff time from 2 to at least 3 minutes. How can you have a checker device auto-shutoff time of 2 minutes and a reagent shake/mix time requirement of 2 minutes???

I’m waiting for the 2nd gen that will come with beeping noise when the timer is over

Question:
I have a magnetic stirrer, instead of shaking for two mins can I use the stirrer and finally... do I have to take out the stirrer before putting it in the checker?

Great but it would be more clear if you stated the model# instead of low range checker. I’m still confused which one to get. Sorry not being rude

You guys should include the DIY hang on back refugium with aqua clear 70 overflows or any. I built mine for nano tanks and it works amazing and save money and one that fits actually

I love my 774 since its more accurate then the 713.

Awesome info topic. I made the exact same progression from 713 LR to 774 ULR checker..as I kept getting 0.00 reading with my 713 LR checker.

A couple questions: (maybe others are wondering too(?):

-Is it true that the 713 LR Phosphate checker is not actually “certified” for Marine use?
(Or if they all work for Marine use..Does that mean the “Marine” labels or certifications for the 774 and 736 are purely marketing based then?)

-Are there other difference between ULR Phosphate and ULR Phosphorus checkers besides the built-in conversion factors?
Ie: After factoring Ppb to Ppm, Are there different accuracy and resolutions between those two ULR checkers?

2:09. What does the Phosphorus ULR do differently? How is it for advanced reefers? Does it measure something differently? Range?

yea but for a 10g softie tank... I doubt I need to let phosphorus rise to 20 PPB. I aim for 10 or so. I could see if you have a large tank packed with corals. thoughts/feedback please and thanks? ps. I am currently tuning (cutting back lighting) on my 2.5g CPR hang on back fuge I bought from you guys. it's eating up all nutrients, showing dead 0 for everything. dosing neonitro/neophos daily 2ml/0.5ml and still 0's. plan on upping the dosing this week also.

What happens if your trying maintain 0.03 ppm which is best because tolerance is 0.04 it's very confusing
