GIMP Basics 4 - How to Crop and resize an image

This Gimp tutorial teaches you how to do simple cropping and resizing inside of GIMP. Using the crop tool in GIMP and resize or scale in GIMP. Easy when you know how.

GIMP i heard of in the mid-late 90s, never used it until now. It is the primary graphics program in Linux Mint 17 xfce which is a FREE operating system, my first Linux OS and its like older versions of windows. i started using Linux Mint when XP was said to go unsupported April 2014. This is the first i used it, THANK You for your instruction. By the way, Linux Mint 17 will be supported until 2019! Rock on other freehand artists like myself, and GIMP users. Let's see how this stands up to Corel Draw 3.0 for 4-color seps! LOL. May the force be with You... Always...

This is one of the best recordings of someone using GIMP I've ever seen. You zoom in on the mouse at the right time.

One thing to work on could be your accent? (Nothing wrong with having an accent, I love people with accents :D)

Although, I'm sure a lot has changed in the last 3 years since you posted this video. I'll have a look at the other ones.

@GIMPtricks Well thanks, I hope you are right. I have never liked the way it crams all this junk all over the screen, and does not seem at all usable. I was amazed how easy it was to crop & resize first time. -- I shall have to go through a lot of your tutorials to get good with it. I downloaded the other, 'cos it makes more sense to see it unbroken instead of waiting for fragments to come down the internet. Again, thank you.
