I have degenerative disk disease, with, according to xrays, missing discs. I learned how to to pop my back so the spine popped into line at night. Walked, walked, walked to build muscle without hurting anything. Took plenty of vitamin supplementsand, guess what, God fused 2 of my discs, everything is in line and I have no pain, plus good range of motion. This building up my back's muscles was over a year's time. Gently, gently. Long slow strolls at the store. Several hours daily. It has been about 5 or 6 years now and I still walk daily. Maintaining good posture helps.

Oh, I am a 72 year old diabetic female with high blood pressure and I feel great!🥰

As a med rep for 30 years, I got a laugh at his “emotional support team”. This is true. Many surgeons have fragile egos and need the emotional support of their reps.

I've been a patient of a spine surgeon and I researched his credentials for a good amount of time. 20 years later I know i picked the best guy. Haven't had any futher problems with my neck after my C5- 6 disc replacement surgery. When he asked what type of disc i wanted to use. I simply asked "What would you get "? He said Cadaver. And I said then thats what I want. It wasn't even creepy. Outside of a emergency blood transfusion its the 2nd best gift another person has ever given me.
I did my surgical rotation with spine surgeons and its definitely a surgery nobody should want done. I never imagined I would need a spine surgery one day and swore I would have to be paralyzed to get spine surgery.
You guys are some twisted surgeon's but the really good ones are the bad assess of the surgical world.

I had a good friend who died on a motorcycle on the highway. Two years later, his youngest brother dived into a lake and broke his neck and was paralyzed. Excellent advice, Doc.

Never jump out of a plane! I have taken care if 2 patients over the years whose parachutes did not deploy. I am a nurse not a surgeon. I agree with the "donor cycles" comment. The road rash alone is a killer!! It's not the motorcycles, the motorcycle riders it's the other drivers. They are a huge problem. Motorcycle vs Car/truck never ends well. Gotta love the spine surgeons! Esp at a level 1 Trauma center!! Love you!!
