Why will many Christians go to Hell? Can rich people get in to Heaven? Who is really saved anyhow? These questions are answered in this sermon from Rich Tidwell's series “Words in Red.”

John 8:31-32 NIV
[31] To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. [32] Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It is more than color that makes these words stand out in our Bibles, it’s who said them. If we’ll receive them, these words will change our lives for eternity.

Passages read in this sermon:

- John 8:31-32
- Matthew 6:24
- Mark 10:17-31
- Luke 16:19-31
- Luke 19:1-10
- Mark 12:41-44

Thank God, he opened up my heart to receive the words of Paul. He did this in the book of Acts for Lydia. She was a believer, but did not know of the Gospel given to Paul. The bible say, God opened Lydia's heart to the words of Paul. Thank You for your Grace and Free Gift of Salvation by the Blood of the Lamb.

Faith not only brings salvation but it brings fruits of the spirit. Be afraid if your fruits are of the flesh, your faith could be a dead one.

We cannot assure our salvation by works. Our works are as filthy rags to God. Obedience is a fruit of true salvation. If you aren't truly following God then check your heart.

If you are truly a Christian and put your faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross, you have eternal security. He will never leave or forsake you. He starts a good work in you until the day if Christ.
You cannot be unsealed.
Grace through faith alone. Hallelujah!

A question about salvation and when it occurs. (Paul writing to Timothy)
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; CONTINUE in them: for in doing this ((thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.)) Most preachers say that Paul was referring to saving Timothy from falling into false doctrine. Not salvation because salvation is a free gift.

I do not know whether by the title of the video if I am confused on what you are teaching so I’m not going to jump to conclusions. But do you teach that it does not only take faith and trust in Jesus Christ, but also obedience and good works to get to heaven. Don’t get me wrong I strongly agree if what you are saying is that we should not only profess our faith in Jesus and accept him to forgive our sins, but also live to glorify and do his work. But I do believe that the Bible clearly teaches that good works has no impact on your salvation. Only faith. Hence Ephesians 2 verse 8: [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. It is saying that Salvation is a gift to us, not something we can obtain on our own merit. If that were the case people would be like “hey look what I did to glorify God, since I did this I will obtain salvation” Does it say “ whosoever beliveth on him and obeys him and does all these good works shall not perish but have everlasting life” respectfully I disagree with what you think the Bible teaches. I thinks it’s pretty clear cut here. Also I strongly recommend you throw away that NIV that removes many verses and words that changes the meaning of verses. Revelations 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The King James Version is the true word of God. Again I’m not trying to be rude here, I just feel as if this is really misleading when taking about salvation.

You are sinning now ...read Romans 10:6 hippercripts Christians (better to be a heathen who knows they need to beg for mercy and forgiveness from GOD through JESUS CHRIST, than be a self righteous Christian )

IF you are Born Again then you recieve the Holy Spirit "unto the Day of Redemption" (Eph. 4:30). IF a Christian can be sent to Hell for non performance of certain Works or the commiting of certain sins then they will be taking the Holy Spirit (God) to Hell with them. Romans chapter 8 is one of the pinnacles of Christian truth. The Apostle Paul begins by proclaiming that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. To be "in Christ Jesus" means that, for purposes of divine judgment, we do not stand before God alone, but with the righteousness of Christ himself. In Romans 8:35, Paul asks the question, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" His conclusion, recorded in verses 38-39, is both profound and poetic: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, we are freed from all condemnation, and assured of God's love.
