The Sumo Squat is a compound movement that's gained a LOT of popularity in the last few years. It can be a fantastic movement for overall lower body strength and hypertrophy. Let's dive into it together!

Cues:
-tripod foot
-spread the floor apart
-sit the hips back and down
-break at the hips first
-screw the feet into the floor

Common Mistakes:
-too much knee flexion
-looking up or looking down
-sitting only into the heels or only into the toes (EQUAL WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION!)

Regressions:
-Goblet Squats, DB Sumo Deadlift, lighten weight

Does it hit down there? I avoid this variation cuz I'm scared that the dumbbell might hit down there especially as the weight gets heavy
