ARCANE | Ekko The Boy Savior

Arcane was/is an AMAZING show full of amazing characters, music, and a storyline that had us all hooked (and crying). From the second I finished episode 1, I knew I was going to make a video about it. So imagine my surprise when EKKO who is not only the mascot of this channel but one of my favorite characters from ANY media shows up! I knew I just HAD to do something for him. Here is: Ekko, The Boy Savior!

My man organizes an entire commune in less than a decade, rescues hundreds of people from addiction and oppression, uses secondhand tech to make them into a formidable fighting force, and is what? fifteen? and super ripped, and they make him a side character? He's everything Silco wishes he could be.

Edit: I now realize that he is not fifteen. Sorry I don't have that perfectly right. My point is that, from the time he lost everything to becoming a young man (still a teen I think?) he did more than Silco accomplished in decades. The obsessive well actuallys are quite unnecessary, thanks.

Ekko is such a cool character I like the way he carrying himself as a leader and a badass at the same time he’s definitely my favorite character on the show he steals every scene he’s in.

Ekko, and the rebellion he created, is easily one of the coolest parts of arcane. Genuinely love his part of the story

Watching this, it really hammers home the fact that despite what Silco said about giving the people of Zaun what they "deserve", he really was just on a path of revenge and power for himself. If he really wanted better for the undercity, he wouldn't be feeding them Shimmer, using child labor to create said Shimmer, thus destroying and abusing the very people he claims to protect. Ekko gave them a home, safety, and the hope to not only survive the abuse and exploitation they go through, but also LIVE after it. He's everything Silco claimed to be. I do hope he gets more screentime in season 2 because he's the best character, in my opinion.

Fun fact:Ekko's Nickname in Brazil is "Chefinho" that means "Little Boss" in english and he nailed the nickname after being the leader of firelights
