God there where so many emotions in this scene. It started off with them being almost FLIRTATIOUS with each other and ends with fear, recognition, pride and sadness. This show is just to good.

Holy crap, this was easily the best scene in the whole show for me. I've watched this like 20 times already. The first time I watched it, as soon as the art style switched and the beat dropped my eyes were hooked.

I love how they portrayed Ekko's character. They couldn't really introduce time travel into the plot (things would've gotten way too convoluted), so instead they showed a kind of "mental" time travel.

Ekko lives in both the past and present. For him everything that happened years ago feels like it happened yesterday. He's a master of "time" in the sense of memory, a kind of philosophical twist on the straightforward "time-traveller" idea.

It's just a great way to adapt a seemingly unadaptable character.

a lot of movie/anime have same fighting concept, past vs present. but how they delivered it is something else. its brilliant
