I firmly believe that we achieve things when it is the right time. Worthless to compare an apple to an orange🤷‍♀️

Love this! I think it wasn't until I hit my 40s that I fully embraced that "I'm not behind - things will happen as they happen". I'm not married, I don't have kids, so I don't fit into the "typical social mould" of where one 'ought to be' in life at this time... and the funny thing is my friends who are married with kids look at my life and lament about how I'm doing the things they wish they could be doing - traveling, learning, experimenting with all my passion projects... so the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm super happy with where I'm at in life right now - and it's important to fully embrace all the light and shade in life... things will take as long as they'll take. Thanks for sharing this, Sunny! ❤️

The most certain way to be miserable is trying to build your life according to expectations and specifications of other people. And guess what, after all your efforts to fit in their expectations, those people will not have the slightest concern if you are happy or not. All they care is that you conform to build the picture/image of life and the world that they expect.

AT 55 (though I still feel 32) I am shifting my professional future. This past year gave my pause for thought on so many levels. I am taking some time to reflect and moving forward with intention. Thanks for voicing some of these thoughts.

This was a video that I needed. Have definitely felt that I have been left behind a lot in my life. I worked in retail assuming that it would lead to a job that was 9-5, weekends and bank holidays off. Like that would be the job I love. When I got there it was the opposite. I always had the idea that I wanted a job that I could be creative and being able to help others. Only realising that being a content creator is the job I always wanted to do... In my late 30's I felt like I couldn't do it cause it was too late. But also felt like I have to meet someone, get married and have kids. Because seeing friends and family achieving this and they are younger than me. But I have realised that it is not a race. What is meant for you won't pass you and its never to late to work towards your dream. Some things just take time or are meant to happen at the right time for you.

I can totally relate! I’m seeing friends buy homes and I’m just trying to graduate from my masters program. But get this... I have more passion for my hair care business than I do for what I’m getting my masters in 😭😭 everyone keeps asking me if I’ve been applying to jobs and I just want to be the full time CEO of Elora Care. I get discouraged almost daily about this.

I'm 41 and still have some of those nagging feelings of being behind. I have to remind myself that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to in the greater scheme of things. Even if I show up late it's still perfect timing

Working on yourself and being at peace is the best gift you could ever give a child. That is true maturity.

Thanks so much for this Sunny!!! This especially resonates with me because I’m 33 and I was feeling so behind in life. I’ve never been on an airplane until 28 years old and I haven’t experienced most of the fun things that most people have experienced during my youth due to family not being able to afford experiences like those and as I got older, I was able to afford experience things on my own until my mom developed cancer & my dad has to live off dialysis while on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. So now, my life is on pause again. That’s why I took your course, I’m hoping to get a point where I can be able to do both, live my life and make sure my parents are secure and taken good care of. I’ve learned so much from the course so far, I just need to implement them.

Thank you, Sunny! This message was right in time for me. I always feel like I’m behind in having a relationship and getting married 🙄 People get to know me and want me to find love, but it’s sooo much pressure when I have so many other things in my life that are more important to me 😅

As always - I love everything you've said in this video and can relate!! I've been beating myself up because about a year ago my business was in a great place and if anything, I felt 'ahead' for once rather than behind. Things came crashing down with my mental health, and now I feel like I'm back at level 0 with my biz and struggling to move forward again 😥 This video was definitely something I needed to hear 💙

Thank you so much Sunny for making a video on this topic! I can resonate with this SO much! I have always felt one, two or a few steps behind my entire life. I had to stop and really think about why I felt behind. What stirred up these thoughts? A lot of it stemmed from insecurities, making comparisons and being unhappy with myself. It has taken a lot of work, but I now embrace the fact that we all have a unique path. Each of us are on a different journey and I believe that it is important to embrace where we are today. And to celebrate that we are still here! This is such an important message to share as I feel that there are so many societal pressures on each of us to be "accomplished" before we turn 30 (have a career, be married, have kids, have that dream home, etc.). These pressures can truly impact self-worth. So yes, such a great topic to discuss and hopefully conversations like this will create a necessary shift in how we view "success." Also, happy belated birthday!! 🙏🌈💜😊

I started following you for your amazing business tips that you shared but the transformation you’ve made with your videos lately have been so refreshing! They have given me permission to show up where I am and know that authenticity wins! I’ve felt behind with business and needing to be everywhere or do what others are. My favorite quote in video is “when you run your own race you always win”👏🏼 thank you Sunny for not being afraid to be you. It’s just what we need! Keep shining beautiful 🦋 thank you for all you do!

I can SO relate to this. I was having the same thoughts this morning. This past year has been really hard in a lot of ways, but I released an album that I’ve spent 5 years working on that I’m really proud of, created a guitar course for adults, and learned really important life lessons in the art of self-care.

This morning, I thought, ‘what if it takes a few years to get my guitar course out into the world the way that I want it? & what if I’m still in the same place with my music career in 5 years.’

Then I thought, ‘so what? It’ll happen when it happens and sometimes working slowly and continually testing something until you are super proud of what you’ve made is the best way. I couldn’t have released the same quality of music 5 years ago because I wasn’t ready then and I hadn’t put in the time, energy, and effort yet! :)

🎉🤗Happy Belated Birthday Sunny! Thank-you Sunny for giving us a birthday present today by sharing your own personal lessons, struggles and successes. I feel so honoured to have you as my fellow Gemini birthday buddy. Your message today was spot on, as always! In 2016 I literally had to start all over, from learning to breathe, to learning to eat and drink, talk and walk after my coma. Then learning how to live a new life with a serious lung disability. So I definitely get those moments of overwhelm when I feel I should be at a much further stage than I am now, (I've got 14 years on you, so I totally get it) and then you send these lovely messages of connection, compassion and inspiration to remind us that we ae all on our own journey and they are not limited to our age. You always give from your heart. Love you with all my heart. Thank-you Sunny.😘💖

Great video 💝 I particularly like the ‘maybe you’ll start a business at sixty or fall in love at seventy’, (as I’m 58 lol ) so thanks it made my day. You’re young and have accomplished a lot!
