One of the main reasons divorce rates are low in countries where polygamy is “normal” is because the women in these marriages have no other choice. Their sole income, housing, clothing, and food is coming from the man they are with. Even if they don’t like what’s going on in this arrangement, they will stay and put up with it out of fear of not having basic necessities and so they are not frown upon in their culture/society if she decides to leave him. She literally becomes a prisoner.

It is a weird thing. Men aren’t like mother’s who have “maternal love bonds” with their children and can love each one of them the same. As for polygamy, it’s all based on a “romantic love” and sex and can easily die off. There will always be competition amongst the women and jealousy will reign supreme.

If the concept of being in love with more than one person applies to both men AND women, and BOTH can have a polyamorous relationship, then I'm with it. But 🚩🚩🚩 emerge when a bunch of men tell women that what's "natural" is for women to be stuck with one man while the man gets to be free to love as many as he wishes. LOL. We're not stupid.

I think polygamy and monogamy both have their benefits. It's just hard to have an honest discussion about polygamy as most people resort to shaming attacks. As a man of your calibre, Mike. Confident.
