How Consciousness Increases Degeneration. Could Human Consciousness Ultimately Lead to Our Demise?

We like to think of things that are part of our being as beneficial to us. Our hands are good for grabbing things, our legs for walking. However, like our appendix, that vestigial organ that no longer seems to serve a function, there are parts of us that are no longer needed or no longer serve their intended purpose. These parts could actually be doing more harm than good. Could our consciousness be one of those adaptations that are no longer serving us properly?

Most of us think of consciousness as having an awareness of one’s surroundings, thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Being conscious of who and what we are is considered a positive thing for human existence. And it’s considered to be what makes us uniquely human and separates us from animals.

In this video, we’ll explore Nietzsche’s alternative perspective on the conscious through an analysis of a passage from his book, Will to Power.

Consciousness is not some internal process that gives us awareness, consciousness permeates everywhere, everything. Everything IS made out of consciousness. Solidity of matter is just an illusion. Human life is just a dream, , , one of many, , ,

Yes, this idea is very similar to Peter Wessel Zappfe's idea in his book, "The Last Messiah" that we have too much consciousness such that it is a burden for us. I guess ignorance really is bliss.

Social media is our new consciousness. Our morality, our virtue, or lack thereof is reflected in our media. We will reject an AI-generated internet because we would recognize it as foreign. The internet portends.

Consciousness as awareness is not concerned with moral values. In fact, consciousness is all there is in all sentient beings. The "filter" of consciousness in humans is through the mind which heavily relies in physical senses which in turn give a limited experience of "reality." It is the mind creating morality and values. Philosophers rely on the mind, in the "filter, " thus unable to touch through thinking and analysis what is beyond that, which is consciousness.
