I've done a lot of fasting and the mental clarity and clear thinking it enables is transformative! Particularly starting around 48 hours. The best way I can describe it is if normally each "thought train" in your brain has 5 train cars, when you start fasting that number becomes 7, then 8, then 9... You start connecting dots and putting things together you wouldn't otherwise. It's hard to believe until you've experienced it for yourself, but the benefits of ketones and BDNF on our brains are very, very real. Not just for those with adverse conditions, but on improving the performance of healthy brains too!🥳

God is good man... The more science evolves the more we understand why he says fasting is the best for us.

I began fasting with help from wegovy injections. Took 3 weeks for my body to switch to burning fat. I feel better, down 10lbs in 3 weeks and can think much clearer now. I work from home as a sales rep and I can tell a huge difference.

That's a very interesting topic. Slightly off of that, I think this guy could be Jordan Peterson's cousin.

The best way is to become a Muslim. Because they fast a month a year for about 15 hours eating nothing but what God has commanded and a great reward is given by God to the one who fasts. And Muslims pray five times a day. One of the prayers is the morning prayer. Science has shown that by eight in the morning you are more likely to have a stroke. Therefore, God has prescribed a prayer that one must wake up and pray to avoid a stroke. Muslims have a book called the Qur'an, which Allah has sent to mankind in addition to the reward of reading it. It also makes the brain very, very strong. That is, the Qur'an is food for the brain, so becoming a Muslim will reward you both in this world and in the Hereafter

i don't understand the correlation between ketosis and autophagy. Autophagy peaks around 72 hrs (3 days) while ketosis continues to max out through day 5. Or in other words: I don't understand why you measure your ketosis levels if losing weight is NOT your only goal...

I dont know if you have tried meditating while fasted (not terribly starved, but in a decently appropiate fasted state) the Focus and clarity is exponentially better. Yoguis recomending OMAD some centuries ago were onto something

Is it okay to drink coffee during your fast?

I'm trying to do 16:8 intermittent fasting but it's hard to get through the 16 hours without a cup of coffee.

Does the coffee delete any benefits I get?

Thanks!
