The scene where the cake mask was melting was actually happening because the heat from the studio lights was in fact the cause of the melting. But Robin Williams continued the shooting of the scene and it went really well.

Awesome fact: the song Tears of a Clown by Iron Maiden was written as a tribute to Robin Williams. He truly was something special. May he rest in peace.

i heard in another video that the "frosting face tea" scene was almost entirely adlibbed by Robin. and that the melting of the face was a perfect improve. (:

And fun fact, the face icing scene was partly done on improv. It wasn't supposed to drip into the coffee but because it was too warm it did and Williams and whatever the actress name is stayed in character Willams just went along and did the scene and they kept it.

One of my all time favorite comedies.y heart breaks because Robin Williams was one of not just greatest comedians but actors. I loved him and hope he has found peace.
