Alexandra "Sasha" Vyacheslavovna Trusova (Александра Вячеславовна Трусова; born 23 June 2004) is a Russian figure skater, who currently holds the world record for the free skate (166.62 points).

Trusova is the first female skater to land the quad Lutz, flip, and toe loop jumps, the second to land the quad Salchow after Miki Ando, and the first to land two and three ratified quads in a free skate, achieved at the 2018 Junior World Championships and the 2019 Nepela Trophy, respectively. She currently holds four Guinness World Records; the fourth being in recognition of the quadruple flip she landed in the 2019 ISU Grand Prix Final.

She is currently the fourth highest ranked ladies' singles skater in world by the International Skating Union following the 2019–20 figure skating season.

Anna Stanislavovna Shcherbakova (Russian: Анна Станиславовна Щербакова, born 28 March 2004) is a Russian figure skater. Shcherbakova currently has the second highest free skating score of any lady – 162.65 points.

Shcherbakova is the first senior lady to land a quad Lutz, which she landed at her first senior competition at the 2019 CS Lombardia Trophy. Additionally, she is the first lady to land two quad Lutz jumps in a program, which she achieved at the 2019 Skate America. At this competition, she also became the first lady to land a quad Lutz in combination (4Lz-3T).

She is currently the third highest ranked ladies' singles skater in world by the International Skating Union following the 2019-20 figure skating season.

A lot of people on here think that if we are critizing Anna's 4Lz, then we are against her as a skater, and that is untrue! We are NOT talking about who should have won. We are talking singularly about the technical score on Anna's quads.

I don't as much have a problem with Sasha's scores because they are accurate for an unstable landing, but Anna's edge was extremely incorrect. I'd say keep Sasha's GOE but downgrade Anna's 4.76 (!!!) and give it an edge call. I admire Anna's perseverance, but she shouldn't be getting high scores on her quad Lutz.

Sashas lutz is so much better. In the second one you can see how her blade catches and reflects the light when it gets into outside edge position. I feel bad for her she is trying to improve so much.

Both pre-rotate, but Sasha's edge is WAY better. So disappointing to see unfair scoring.

Sasha has improved so much in just under a year. Her artistic interpretation has really grown we all know she loves the challenge of a good job and to see her really grow as a skater in an all around aspect is so great to see. I think she made the right move transferring to plushenkos camp. She's really growing fast...

Trusova made the best decision of her life in switching to Plushenko as a coach. She's gotten so much better! I'm happy for her :)

That being said, I really want to know who Eteri knows on the ISU, because it's pretty clear that while she's not a good coach (teaching all of her pupils the same textbook jumping mistakes!), the girls she coaches get over-scored. Clearly Eteri has some backdoor politics going on. Note how Trusova got much higher scores when she was under Eteri, even though she had many should have been edge-calls problems, versus now that she's under Plushenko and her technique is so much better.

Anna definitely over-scored, not a true lutz. Blade take off and inside edge. Better overall, but lacks technique. Alexandra, true lutz with perfect take off techniques. And still being rotated all the way around. It might be a little under, but I’ll give it to her. She did a great job without excessive pre-rotations.

I like Sasha better. She has her own athletic beauty. It's so nice to watch her on the ice. Everyone says that her choreography is weak, that she can only jump. I don't think so. In her short program, she proved that she can also show tenderness. I think it's her best performance ever. Her jumps are stabilizing, she's working hard, getting better. What a pity that our Russian refereeing is so corrupt. As well as everything in our country. I am sure that at international competitions Sasha will be appreciated.

I like how you didn’t comment any jump, because there’s no need. It’s clear that Sasha’s 4Lz quality is higher and how they overscored Anna’s 4Lz. I’m not going to say anything on these ladies because they both made great efforts, but obviously the points were not accurate.

As one former figure skater told: They give Trusove lower goes just because it's Trusova. Not like her jumps are ideal but she is getting lower scores than all the rest Tutberidze girls even in the components where she is better....

Is it just me but I think Sasha has a much more aggresive technique where as Anna is more traditional. Sasha is doing amazingly since the switch.

This is happening for years. ISU likes you and you get big scores regardless of your mistakes. ISU hates you and no matter how good you perform, you get little and humiliating scores. In gentleman's discipline, such corruption is even worse.

I love Anna and Sasha, so I do not want to stir up a fight. It is evident that Sasha has deeper edge and less prerotation, but Anna also has better flow and landing, which is pertinent to the goe. In my opinion, both of their goe should be lowered, and Anna’s goe should be significantly lower.
