Very helpful. Side selector for Deep Clean was not sealing. A quick wipe and a touch a silicon lube and it was all fixed. Watching you take this apart helped a lot.

Thank you so much. I bought a used unit on a budget only to find it would leak and dump all the solution within minutes. I was devastated that I wasted my money and turned to YouTube. Thank you so much for these videos!

I love the way you do your videos, they are so organic (the phone ringing, T-shirt getting wet, you laughing about your mistakes, etc), you have a special joy and I can tell you are transparent and you love what you do. Thank you!

Thank you for your videos on these Bissell carpet cleaners!! Now if you developed a cutout and replace valve for these tanks, and manufactured and sold them, you'd soon be a millionaire! Cut out the leaking valve in a circle, repair it, and have a plastic ring and epoxy that glues the repaired valve in, water-tight. It's a nice dream, isn't it? So, what I've learned about how NOT to have this problem in the first place: DO NOT POUR BOILING HOT WATER INTO THE CLEANING WATER TANK!! My wife confessed that she poured hot water from our electric kettle into the tank, instead of hot tap water. I wound up getting a new tank for $35. I'm still keeping her, she's priceless. 💘

On mine it gushes water all the way down to the lid without the tank and floor is full of water instantly. I've taken it apart twice and don't know what to do

Thank you for your videos that helped me learn about and repair my Bissell. And just knowing there is a source of information to repair mine. I have two of the 3588F models, Revolution 2x Proheat Pet Plus or something like that.

Yey... At 14:28 we arrive at my exact problems. My little piece that receive the water tank isn't sitting high enough to release water from the tank. I solved that by placing a little piece of a wire connector over the center of that to raise it and deptess the tank release valve... Yey, my no spray problem fixed but now the rased piece won't allow the valve to close...resulting in the drip leaking water onto the floor at the back of the machine. Guessing I need a new gasket and maybe the little receiver (or whatever it's called), but I'm trying to make it work today with what I have as opposed to buying parts that may or may not actually resolve my problem

Looking forward to the final 10 min of thevid to see what happens next. Thanks for making these cause I wouldn't have the confidence to dive in w/o them. 😎

This is perfect! I had mine dripping right out of the darn box, brand new! So, since I am mechanically able, I thought there HAD to be a way to fix this stuff! Thank goodness YOU are someone who cares to show how we can! I can deal with that, but, now I have to figure out why it won't suck up the water too! And it is NEW!...sheeesh. I hope you have a video on how to fix the suction problem. Cheers buddy! Keep up the great work, and care!!:) YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Thank you for the video. It really did help. I was getting frustrated with the leak. The leak I have is just like that but it does it when it’s standing up. I’m glad you showed me how to take it apart too. Now I can look to see if their maybe anything else wrong with it.

Thank you so much for the detailed break down. I had the exact problem as you and when I put it back together, I just made sure it was seated properly.

That hidden screw got me. Despite it just being the tank, this video was extremely useful. Yes! Thanks!

I wish I had watched your video before I already got into it this deep. LOL. Great video, and very helpful. I love the way you guide people on learning how to explore something they dont know/understand. Good advice.

Thank you for this tutorial. First of all I think this is a common problem with Bissell.. I have this exact model and it’s leaked from day 1. I use it all the time on my tile floors because it does a super amazing job👍. But Super annoying to have it leaking all the time. ….Now I’m not getting any spray. I thought it was the pump so I replaced that today. Still no water. Blew the lines, they’re clear. Working my way up, there’s plenty of tension on the trigger. I took the handle off and used a screwdriver to push that thingy down. Still no water. So I guess now I’ll get the new tank and see how we do with that 🤣. I’m glad I found your video! It definitely helped me get through the process so I didn’t have to ask my husband. You’re much nicer to work with than my he is. He can’t get through a project like this without throwing massive hissy fits . So thank you kind sir, it’s been a pleasure 😂

Thank you for posting this. I've had 4 of these units and each one was defective, 2 right out of the box. Bissell should clearly recall this model and/or replace the clean water tank with one that's not defective. I'd recommend not purchasing this unit.

Enjoyed watching the video. Keep up the comedy sir. I've been there myself chasing and replacing parts.

Excellent in depth video… you are amazing! When searching for the cause of a problem there is a strong desire for that “ lightbulb” moment when you find the culprit. Doctors, car mechanics, electricians are all in a major way just Detectives. You are allowed to go down many paths in a labyrinth as you search for the way out… the main lesson is don’t give up! You won in the end and that is what motivates me… when you win enough of these battles you gain experience and confidence and then you tackle everything that most mortals would avoid… that attitude makes you able to perform MAGIC for your customers and leave them in AWE of your skills. You are a PROBLEM SOLVER… and in today’s world that is getting to be a rare talent.

This happened with mine. I noticed that the auto feeder valve wasnt centered within the housing. When the clean water tank is set back into the machine, it wasn't seating properly into the valve. You would think that Bissell would have better quality control

Hi! Your video was really entertaining! I had just spent the afternoon getting to where you were. Then, looking for solutions came upon your video. LOL. I'll slap and screw it all back together again. I won't possibly remember where all the short of long screws go, but next time I'll remember to mark the holes with a silver marker (S, M or L), and to check for You Tube videos FIRST! Oh, I'm going to check to see if Bissel lists a replacement silicone gasket for the tank. I suspect it took a "set" over time, and I'm hoping can just be changed.

Thank you for your video. I have same dripping problem with other proheat model, andfirst thought it was the pump. After followed your other video, I found it may be the two valves. Now I have tired them apart and seems the other valve acts as trigger doesn't works well. No matter how I press or release it, the water go through the pipe itself. Now I have another question, do you know where I can find replacement for that valve? Thanks.❤
