Learn Fusion 360 in a few hours. Part 1

Показать описание

This is the first of sixteen parts where you will learn Fusion 360. All totaled up that's a few hours to learn the basics of the sketcher and how to complete the common features of most simple engineering parts.

It is an effective way to learn Fusion 360, start with the most simple and work your way up with me to some more complex ones.

I've taken hundreds of students through these exercises in a wide variety of CAD programs. Fusion 360 is a good one, see my other videos, especially the survey of the CAD market, top to bottom.

I just finished the 16 part series on modeling in Fusion 360. I just wanted say that this is one of the best beginner courses you will find on Youtube. The videos are a good length and you learn new techniques in each video. Thank you for making this Arnold and I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Hello Arnold. I have tried every tutorial available on YouTube. I am a beginner and almost quit until I came across your video series. I can't believe I was able to complete Part 1 of 16 of this course. You give me hope. Thanks so much and continued success.

List of differences in new AutoCAD interface:
3:14 Trim tool is under the Modify menu bar
4:36 Exrtude is the 2nd icon (next to create sketch)
5:55 Click create sketch icon, and then click center diameter circle (3rd icon from left)
6:53 Constraint options are underneath the Constraints menu bar (next to modify) at the top of the screen. To use the concentric constraints tool, you don't need to use the shift key - click the concentric constraints tool, and then click on the edge of the shape & then the circle
7:46 Click "finish sketch", and then click extrude (2d icon next to create sketch)

I've learned more in one lesson from you than hours from Fusion lessons. Because you are showing us how to design with a purpose as opposed to just showing us how to doodle (using different tools) with no purpose! With your lesson, we can remember why and how we use a/this tool and so on. So thank you very much for taking the time to teach me/us how to design things and for what reason! You're my personal Bob Ross, "There are no mistakes only happy accidents".

I used this series to learn fusion 360 a few years ago! I'm now helping people on projects and have a few prototypes built of tools I use. I'm so glad I scratched the itch and learned fusion 360!

Just the first video gives me confidence that he knows his stuff and knows how to teach it.
Ive been struggling with FreeCad but now I know Fusion will be the tool for me. Thank you!

Sir,
Here comes your most junior KG1 student, 73 year young, to lean Fusion. Having done AutoCad and totally forgot....my new wood work hobby demands me to learn this.
So kind of you to provide these knowledge, especially for me a layman.
My Regards and Wishes from India.

Using fusion 360 for the first time after building myself a 3d printer. Your tutorials helped me get to where I want to be much quicker than any other tutorial on youtube. I can now make my own parts to suit my own ideas. Thankyou.

there are plenty of tutorials on youtube for fusion, this one is the best i've found. many of them are older and use older software that looks different which makes it difficult. Thanks so much for posting these!

I gave up on Fusion 360 (student) for over a year and just stuck with TinkerCAD to design some VERY basic shapes, but now my shapes are a slightly more complex and this video I learned the basic tools by just getting started and following along, I learned so much more. Great tutorial! My biggest problem was using sketch.

absolutely better than any other tutorial video I have seen earlier... as a highly passionate about 3D printing and designing, this will be my starting point

After having used Fusion 360 for about 8 months, I would still definitely recommend this channel for any beginners who have little or no experience. These tutorials have a good pace which covers the basics and quickly advances you to a functional level to begin working on more advanced tutorials. In all, these tutorials took me about 3 hours, and I was able to walk away feeling more confident about my ability to perform the fundamentals in Fusion 360 which includes sketching and basic 3D object manipulation (extruding, revolving, etc.).

I started these tutorials with a very low expectation in picking up what looks and I am sure is a very complex design software. I have very poor health and needed something to learn during “Lock down. Version 2” this knowledge will be a great addition to my 3d printing.

Well I am know on “Part 7” and I can’t believe how I am picking things up. Learning the short cut keys etc. This is credit to the fantastic tutorials, they are so well presented and long enough to give you head a shake before picking up another tutorial. I am very appreciative that these are actually free tutorials and perfect for any beginner. I love the fact they are straight to the point, clear, concise and enjoyable. All I say is “ thank god for the pause button and rewind” 😂

I am intrigued to know if all these parts make something ? But not bothered if not, as they seem to be designed to ensure they cover the main elements elements of Fusion 360. Thank you great work

Good tutorial. Not too fast, nor too slow. Shows all the basic workflows and tools in 10 minutes.

After 45 years as a job shop machinist after 10 years of retirement, I am just getting started. Have a small CNC mill and so far totally lost. Great Part 1 hope I live long enough for all 16.
