How to Spray Furniture/ Spray Chalk Paint

I found this beautiful dresser at a local estate sale and gave it a new gorgeous look. And wow was there a prize for me inside! Lol. I mastered spraying chalk paint with my gun (the correct way!), demonstrated how to use gilding wax and finally got to use my favorite color…. Purple!
Special thank you to That Shabby Guy for helping me with my spray gun! Follow his channel on YouTube to see some amazing furniture flips!

Product List:
The Euphoric Magenta is not a regular chalk paint color, I had them mix it from one of the latex Behr paint colors, so I just listed the link to their chalk paint in white
They have a new formula for their gilding wax. The one I used in my video is their old formula. The link provided is for their new formula.

Love the color. Thank you for sharing your spray knowledge! I’m going to attempt this week. I think I’ll do some practice boards before the furniture!

WOW, it ended up beautiful. Again, I said "OMG purple", but sitting in a home it looked so great.

Excellent job! I was a little hesitant when you showed the paint inside the can, but it turned out great. Also love the gold accents. 👍

Hello from the UK. Love the colour you chose. I paint furniture and I find if I use a larger nozzle I have to move the gun quicker. Maybe you could give it a go.

I did fall in love with the piece when it was white but I really thought you lost the beauty of this piece with that color. It turned out beautiful, do you know the names of the type of hardware on the drawers.

Another gorgeous piece. Would it be possible to get this professional finish with a brush instead of a spray gun?

Beautiful job ! i have a question, do you thin the primer before spraying because i just bought some and it is kind of thick.

I like it a lot I am a new subscriber and I would love to see in some of your future videos a break down of how much the piece cost how much you suggest selling it for and how much time you spend on it (hours) and how much in materials you have it it if that is possible plus you do fabulous work wow ...

I just got my hads on a Bassett Tall 5 Drawer Cherry dresser in the Valencia line.
I looked it up online and found a few for sale, not refinished for $500-$800. I found one that was refinished to its original splendor for $1, 500. I dont see any that have been painted.
I had wanted to do a 2-tone makeover with paint and stain, but I don't want to do this if it will devalue the piece.
I got it at a St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop for $80.
I am so very excited, but I don't want to make a mistake.
I think if I did the two-tone, I would need to update the hardware. I was thinking of a very dark color like black, green, burgundy, or teal with an antique walnut stain. When I say dark, I mean the green or burgundy or teal is so dark it almost looks black. My thought was to use the paint color on the body of the dresser and the stain on all the drawers and probably the top.

Color is gorgeous! Did you only use one quart of paint?

Did you close the drawers while still wet? I’m going to try this method.

Love it! Is spraying actually better than using a brush? Or if I sand can I still get a smooth finish? You're amazing furniture artist and I love learning from you!

Sab, when waxing a furniture painted with black chalk paint do you use black or clear wax?
