I used that same paint color on a project and also found it much lighter than expected... Really nice how it turned out after the dark wax.

I like to use Citristrip and place plastic wrap on. Works amazingly and then I go over with mineral spirits. Far less sanding. Your project tired out great. Can’t wait to try spray paint on a small dresser I have.

Turned out great!!! You were right to use clear wax before dark wax…a great tip when using dark wax is you can use clear wax to help remove or reactivate the dark wax if it has dried.

Very nice compromise between preserving it in its original state and giving it a new, fresh look.

So good! The dark wax made all the difference for me. Now you have me wanting to try a spray project. I’ve always been nervous about doing it. Lol

Very nice... I agree with you on color... original didn't have the depth you ended up with. But its hard to tell unless you have past experience... so your fix was perfect! Nice job and great explanation!

Gorgeous.
Loving your channel, keep up the great work.
Your inspiring me to have the courage to paint my baltic pine furniture. Two tone, black & stain the tops. Still undecided if I want to paint the drawer fronts as well or not 🤦‍♀️

Never heard of Spray Chalk Paint. Nice. One recommendation, longer strokes with the can. Better coverage

Very nice! You can use clear wax over dark wax to help remove it. Baby wipes work great also!

Hi just subscribed yesterday...so forgive me if you already learned or heard of these tricks I want to share....first one I saw one comment about the trick of using clear wax as an eraser for moving dry dark wax....just want to add ...yes clear wax first before the dark wax ...in smaller areas ...right after you clear wax....then if you apply too much you can always just take clear wax and use as eraser and or to move wax trick is to use stripper more liberally and if you have time...cover with Saran Wrap ....I have not personally tried this but have seen others leave over night and easily remove stripper and stain the next definitely under that you are good to go. Thought I would share bc I have already learned some great tips from you! Love the piece....thanks for sharing 😊kim
