WOULD YOU TURN DOWN A FREE PAINT JOB?

If you have ever considered replacing sheet metal on a classic car, I’m sure you’ve had second thoughts about whose sheet metal is the best choice for your project.

Well, I had these same reservations and concerns too.

I had multiple shops off to repaint my mom and dad’s 55 Belair for FREE.

But I wasn’t looking for discounted labor, or sheet metal. I wanted the best parts I could buy, and I wanted a local shop to do the work so I could keep track of the process.

It’s important to do your homework before you put out your hard earned money.

Here’s what I did, and this is what you can expect from excellent parts, and excellent craftsmanship.

You could scour this country for years before you find a shop with bigger heart and soul and raw talent than what you’ve found here at home with these “Kids”! (Sorry Jesse and crew, lol, you’re now forever labeled with the title of “Kids” but please take it as a compliment from all of us old men out here. My daughter was born in 89 & my son was born in 90 and they are my “Kids”, so you can see & hopefully understand why it’s just something we would call you. Take it as a compliment to be called the same as what we call our own kids cause there’s no one on earth we love more unless it’s our moms!)

As you may remember, I'm a lifelong Ford guy, but at 75 I very much appreciate most any old things that have survived the test of time. Those kids at House Of Pearls are so impressive. I subscribed to their channel as soon as they appeared on here, so I've seen that blue Chevy shortbed and the Mustang during their processes too, and they are sooo nice ! It's so cool that you're able to do what you're doing for your dad, and although he doesn't show much emotion ever, I'm looking forward to his first drive in the '55 ! It's so incredible how far you and your entire family have come just in the few years I've been watching. Also there's been no mention lately of Bob's physical condition, and that's a good thing. It seems you've breathed new life into him and it's really nice so see him living a good life again after those scary times a year or two ago. You're all living the dream, and your hard work is paying off, and it's AWWSOME to see !!!!

It takes a village to not only raise children but build a high quality car. Having a network of not only friends but local businesses that turn into the same to complete a project. Not everyone is so fortunate and the fact you return the favor of knowledge and monetary value is fantastic. I've always gave but when it comes to the return of help it's always been crickets so seeing it returned to you gives me hope.
