There's generally not a lot of sharing when it comes to waves. Batu Bolong is a bit of an exception to that, but even then it's not necessarily an intentional act as much as accepting it and going with the flow.

So when 1:22 motioned to the guy on the shoulder to jump on the wave with her, it was a bit of a shock that he didn't accept the offer. Maybe it was such an unexpected offer that he couldn't react in time?
