After she stated that she was on oxogen for pulmonary hypertension and “doctors don’t know what causes it”, there’s little she says that I can take seriously. She’s in her early 20’s and her heart is failing. That is TERRIFYING.

Now I know which airline not to use. Because I’m extra small I should fly free, using their logic.

“We’re not asking for special treatment” That is literally what you’re asking for!

She also chooses not to loose weight. The majority of people aren't 6 X. Your bad life choices aren't everyone else's problems.

Some might say that losing weight is hard, but I would contend that losing height is even harder. Nobody caters to my long legs, nor should they.

I was on a flight to Mexico and was seated next to two obese people. I was pushed to the arm rest because the gal next to me was taking up a 1/3 of my seat. I knew I was not going to be very comfortable over a multi hour trip. Before take off I asked the stewardess if I could sit in the empty row by the emergency exit. She said I could if I paid $200. I waited until the seatbelt sign was turned off and went back to the galley to speak discretely with a stewardess about my situation. She took a look at the situation and seated me in another row between a couple. Then a few minutes later seated me in that empty row that i previously asked about. She also offered me free drinks and food. She really appreciated my discretion and that i did not try to make an embarrassing scene. She said that my mom (obese btw) raised me right.

The reality is that most fat people are fat because of lifestyle choices (like my dear mother), they are victims of their own making, thus it is not society’s duty to accommodate them.

I don’t understand why we cant just make better health choices.

Honestly I might be a skinny girl, but I've an invisible disability and the fact that she talks about "discrimination" and "accessibilty" about a thing she could change about herself while us disabled folks can't change our bodies and still live with 0 accessibility in the real world (because travel is not a everyday problem but a priviledge) really piss me off.

Notice how she recommends you don’t book the middle seat if you’re plus sized? That means her and her husband will book the window and isle seat and screw whoever got that middle seat I guess 😂

Hypocritical to complain about the discomfort of small airline seats and then turn around and complain about other passengers not wanting to sit next to them. Oh wait, those people get to suffer the discomfort of their small seat overtaken by their folds. So, she gets to complain about terrible airline seats but is quite ok about inflicting that same discomfort??

As someone who is 6 ft 1, her adding us to the petition is a joke. Tall people are not accommodated in this world in anyway. We pay extra for clothes, etc. Airtravel giving me a free seat won't help if I have np leg room. You pay for the seats you occupy.

Don't fly if you don't fit. Everyone sucks it up but you choose your obesity. We don't choose the butt cramps we get from the sitting for hours. Simple as that . Stop blaming everyone else for your inability to take care of yourself.

On a positive note I joined a kickboxing class last month and I have lost 10 pounds and went from a 2x to 1x 😊. In my class we have so many people of different weights and it makes me so happy to see so many people taking control of their health.

I’m a fat person myself and trust it’s not okay to be obese.

In our bid to be more "tolerant" and "inclusive" we have created a generation of people who believe they should never, in ANY circumstances, have to experience anything resembling discomfort. Losing weight is difficult. Therefore, it's discomforting and they shouldn't have to do it. Adjusting to your changing body during puberty is hard. Therefore it's discomforting and they shouldn't have to do it.

The entitlement and absolute lack of any mental fortitude is staggering.

The sad part is, she is more concerned about special treatments that she may not live to enjoy.

If flights are already doing this, then I don't understand her problem. I am considered obese but I'm definitely not as big as she is. I seriously wouldn't travel anywhere if I was that big. I agreed a little bit with some of the stuff she said in your opening video, but not that it's anyone else's fault. For me, I became big when my doctor put me on Prednisone for three months straight. Then she said that she needed to check me for diabetes because that drug can cause you to develop Type II. I have a family history of diabetes on my dad's side, but at that time, it wasn't on my radar. When she put me on the drug, I was about 135 lbs. It was a good weight. By the end, I was over 200 lbs. I got rid of that weight, but then seven years later, I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and ended up with two different surgeries and now I have to be on medicine the rest of my life. My ability to lose weight is hampered by this. The thyroid covers so much in your body. It regulates everything including how you process insulin. So, now I'm on several different kinds of medicine the rest of my life, have asthma (since I was 19) and now am diabetic. I am still not as big as she is... and never will be. As soon as I start gaining instead of losing, it's a signal that my levels are out of wack and need adjustment. I can't control everything, but I can control that.

I refuse to accommodate someone who doesn't understand the basics of personal space in public transportation. One thing is to be big and another is being big enough to invade someone else's personal space, we all seek confort. Reasonable people know that in public the world doesn't only revolve around our needs.

Used to weigh 370, it got to the point where I couldn’t fit into bathroom stalls, the glass shower door would pop out whenever I made the slightest movement I broke a lot of toilet seats and even a bed at one point, had diabetes and sleep apnea arthritis and asthma and for few years I declined traveling because of the seat issue on planes. Instead of blaming my problems on objects made to suit average sized people I decided to make personal changes. Dropped the weight and kept it off for 6 years and now I don’t have those type of problems anymore and happier and healthier for it.
