I agree. I pay for luggage, special needs dogs, car seats for kids etc. You have dignity and respect, you are treated like the rest of us.

Well obese persons should be treated with respect BUT obese persons should also respect others by paying for those extra seat or seats they need. Why should others have to incur any type of price increase because you are obese? That's not fair to anyone that is not obese. So because you are obese, you have rights to SPECIAL TREATMENT?? This is insane! Aircraft’s have a capacity. The airfare is based based on average size. If you need to pay for an extra bag, you shouldn’t be upset if they can’t sell you a bigger sit…. Solve your problems for your own good first before pointing finger at others.

They weigh your luggage & make you pay extra fees for overweight luggage. Not only are these passengers heavier, they are wider, taking up more room. Storage space is more expensive if it is bigger. Clothes are more expensive if they are plus size. Food costs more if it is supersozed. Plus size should pay extra.
I understand that some people have medical issues that cause their obesity. But extra anything costs. It has nothing to do with dignity & respect, it has to do with cost.

I'm plus size and things like this absolutely floor me. I don't expect anyone to cater to my needs. I got myself here, I pay the consequence and that means buy a second seat, well, so be it. It's no one's fault but my own. The only thing I can hope for is kindness from strangers while I navigate my own health journey.

They use up more fuel and take up the space of 2 or 3 people it only seems reasonable that if they cost more they should pay more. Should McDonald’s give you extra chicken nuggets for free just because the box of 20 still isn’t enough? If you use more you must pay more. It’s not because they hate you, well now maybe after you made that horrible video. Maybe skinny people should just get a discount for not using up all of EVERYTHING!
