I have reoccurring bppv. I have had vit d def which I think has played role, was corrected and it helped and it is now lower again at last test and vertigo has increased. I have always thought a combination of allergies and cervical instability, I think vit d plays more role then I though, I will stay on top of that, thanks doc.

I am a 59 years old and I've had a severe episod of BPPV one year ago on my right ear. I've used Eapley and it was solved totaly. Unfortunately since then I only lay down and sleep on the back or left side. If I accidentaly sleep on the right side, vertigo comes back.
Sleeping only on the left shoulder has damiged my shoulder, ... What can I do please help?

I just found your video? I have had vertigo for over a year, bvvp. I am 49 and going through menopause, does it have to do with this? Thank you for your videos!

I've been diagnosed with bppv. I've had other symptoms that no one asked me about and I assumed were part of the bppv until I did further research and found that my symptoms are actually the same as people that have third window semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome. I've had head trauma a few times in my life. One-time was a bad motorcycle accident where I slid on an asphalt and my head hit a tree even though I was wearing a helmet. I fell down some stairs when I was twelve and couldn't walk on my own for almost a year had to wear a neck brace and had to see a neurologist once a week and got regular shots nerve block shots in the back of my head all year long. I had a concussion and was unconscious for a while from that fall when I was twelve and it took me a whole year to recover. Obviously being a kid I didn't take it as serious as I do now at 53 and I've had five severe bouts of vertigo and have been waiting for over 3 years for bilateral total knee replacement but I'm afraid to be put under for the knee surgery because of the vertigo. The vertigo with just hit me out of nowhere literally like a left hook out of nowhere. Not much warning at all just a few seconds. I don't want to discuss my medications in this comment and I do see a neurologist but they don't seem interested in doing anything more than an epley maneuver which does not help has not helped and I'm still having other symptoms like just recently noticed that I have a problem with my left eye opening in the morning after sleeping all night almost like the muscle is not engaging. The bppv is on my left side and I also cannot sleep laying on my left side because it causes vertigo. I guess it's the pressure against my head on the left side that's causing that but that's not the only thing that has caused the vertigo in the past it just happens to be one thing that I've noticed and so I never lay on my left side.

I love your videos and they are so helpful. I am not under a Dr care right now looking for a new Doctor but i find keeping stress low and watch for sodium and avoid sugar.

Hi Dr, I had my first episode of BPPV in July after taking Benadryl, which I rarely take because it makes me feel really "out of it" and gives me symptoms of a vestibular migraine, but I was taking it to help me sleep. This episode was easily corrected by the Epley and the Dr in the ER didn't day it was the benadryl. I was very stressed and travelling about ten days later I took a Benadryl and once again by crystals fell out. However since that time I saw a vestibular therapist and we have done many Epleys but the issue never fully resolves and I continue to have a positive Dix Hallpike for the posterior canal in my right ear. My sensations of rocking and swaying have improved a lot with each treatment, but we can't seem to get the crystals to stay back in. I also had my first vestibular migraine since this event as well. Is there a reason they won't all go back in or that they go back but don't stay in? They did a blood panel and CT scan of my head and neck in the ER and that was normal and I've been taking vitamin D.

I had damage to my ear and my crystals are out of place when I have lots of mucus and have to blow my nose a lot. If that’s makes sense. Cause me to deal with vertigo. Usually during the winter months.

I have reoccurring vertigo so badly over the last few years that some days I have to crawl instead of walk. I puke can’t eat my tongue goes numb sometimes.. I’ve been to the hospital so many times and the only comfort I’ve really gotten was from some neck stretches but it does come back eventually.. is there a problem with my neck since the neck stretches do temporarily relieve the issue ?

If you’re not a DO or MD you’re not a physician and it’s false advertisement to call yourself one. You’re looking for some serious medical legal trouble if you keep doing that.
