Welcome back to the channel!

0:00 Intro
1:38 Electric, Petrol or Nitro?
5:55 Kit, ARTR or RTR?
8:49 Brushless or Brushed?
10:40 Lipo or Nimh?
12:44 Scale/Size
14:14 Final Thoughts

So i recently did a poll and a lot of my subscribers and regular viewers have been asking for beginners guides or just RC guides in general covering many different topics or areas of RC.

I was considering doing an in depth RC guide but i think doing videos like this are more fun and hopefully less boring for you guys!

Today we cover some of the frequently asked questions by beginners and this video is aimed at beginners so you enthusiasts or pro's out there feel free to skip this one as you will more than likely not learn anything.!!

If you are new to the hobby and have no clue where to start hopefully this video will give you an insight and some information you can take along with you in your RC journey.

There are so many options available to a beginner that it can become confusing and not knowing where to start will almost certainly mean beginners will end up getting frustrated and bored of this amazing hobby before they have given it a fair chance.

What was your first RC? When did you get into the RC hobby? Anything else to add?

Drop a comment down below!

Cheers guys and see you on the next one!

My dad got one back in late 80's and had me hooked that I wanted one for my birthday, used to go over to tescos on a sunday back in the day when they was closed and tear up the carpark, those were the days, recently my dad has passed and am wanted to get back into RC again It was a tamiya 4x4 buggy that we both had.

My 1st rc was a grasshopper back in the day I loved that thing, I sold it recently and I'm regretting it. I owned many tamiya cars over the years and after a long break from rc, I've been getting back into the hobby I still love tamiya but they seem to be behind the times and expensive compared with other brands.

Always thought 1/10 RTR electric buggy/rally car is best to start with. 1/10 is a nice size and you can run a buggy anywhere. I went through a period of having nothing but touring cars great fun didn't have anywhere to use them then lost interest for a few years. Now have a mix still got nowhere to run touring cars but I got a golf course for buggy bashing.

Some of us older folks remember this one. Among the knight rider era, a toy car came out that u could preprogram a route by lifting the hood where u would have a calculator type layout with turn signals symbols added. It was fun then.. if anyone remember the name, please post it ..

I was looking for something to share with a friend who is interested after seeing my cars. I am sharing this with him - it's a great overview of RC cars and will help any newcomers to get headed in the best direction

Just bought the Power Craze safari racer from Walmart, can’t lie for $30 it is absolutely awesome! Now I believe I’m going for more advanced.

Also my first rc was a 1:6 scale planet toys Nissan Titan Truck! I still have it to this day, just need a receiver.

My first RC was a Kyosho tomahawk. All metal chassis and a brushed motor. It was so old and even had a brushed speed control. Now I'm an old man and I can afford all the RC that I want . I have planes boats cars trucks crawlers I love it all, long live the RC world . When it comes to RC, you either get it, or you don't ! 😊

I loved RC as a child but we didn't have a lot of money and in those days majority were really expensive. But I do remember one of my friends having the Tamiya Lunchbox and the Hornet. I had been gifted mainly toy grade which was The A Team van and a Knight Rider K.I.T car over the years. Finally got back into RC a few years ago buying Fpv quads and planes. My first RC car since getting back into hobby was wltoys 14001. I'm now proper addicted in all aspects of the hobby and brought a few but mainly budget.

I got my first RC car back in 2007. It was a 1/10 scale plaque Ford at 3:50. They had a sale going on on them, so I took advantage of the opportunity to get $100 truck for $50. I ended up giving it to my oldest nephew. It was an electric ready to run, and I think it had a brushed motor. And it had a nickel metal hydride battery. And, like you said, it came with everything I needed, but the battery was absolute junk. It didn’t last very long. My second one was a boat. Amazon has a two-for-one special for an RC Tesla cyber truck and a cyber quad as part of a two bundle package. I think I want a brushless model, because I heard they’re quieter, more powerful, and they last longer. Am I right? 15:15

Great video mate and great advice, but I think you missed one point and that is where to buy your 1st rc, I would advise people new to rc to buy from local hobby shop and not buy from an overseas seller or any website if they can. The help and advice you can get from the shop you bought your rc from is very valuable.
