Zack and Ari were an instrumental part of getting me to finally take the plunge and start riding. In fact it was Zack's MC Commutes review of the CB500F that finally got me to put down the spec sheets on pull the trigger on a purchase, and I could not have been happier with it. I owe these two gentlemen a great deal of gratitude, and I owe one to Revzilla as well for bringing them back to YouTube.

Funny that Ari with the dreadlocks is the guy with the “practical” Versys whereas guy next door looking Zack is with the hooligan KTM.

Way back in June 1982, I found myself a freshly enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force. My first assignment was Dyess AFB, Texas. Shortly after arriving, I bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 454 LTD. This bike was very comfortable, and I owned it for over a year. Then, I sold it and bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 550 GPz. I really loved this bike and kept it about a year before I had to sell it because I received orders to Japan and could not take it with me. Bottom line, both of these bikes were primary transportation for me. So, between these two bikes, I would go with the 454 LTD due to comfort. Always go with comfort when dealing with long trips and hours in the saddle. Take care.

1. I wanted a practical everyday motorcycle to commute to work and use to get to meetings and construction sites.

2. I bought a 2016 R1. No regrets.

Zack I bought my Versys X-300 after watching your review. I wanted a fun around town bike and you were spot on in the review. I'm happy with my purchase.

You're review back in the day on the Versys 650 pretty much sealed the deal for me about 3 years ago and I haven't regretted it in the slightest. Thanks for that! Started to take it more off road lately and it does pretty dang well with the right tires, skid plate, and a couple other minor things. It truly is a versatile bike and at $8000 it can't be beat for my 80/20 highway offroad riding.

Welcome back Zack we missed you!!! I started with a wee-storm 650 best choice for my type of riding. I Grew up to a Triumph Trophy SE and it felt huge at first and god dam scary. Now it feels like a moped.
