Great video - it looks like the mini 2 is a fantastic, 'budget' DJI drone but, as comes through on most reviews for Air 2, it's the Air 2 that's the more sophisticated drone that still remains one of the very best consumer drones for the money 😊

Good video man. I'd get the Mav Air 2 just cause the mini has no obstacle avoidance or active track

You are always very genuine and relatable in your videos. Don't mind the focus issues. Really great comparison video, Kelly.

Nice vid Kelly. I already have the MA2 and really happy with it, my go-to. Still fly my Mini1 but tends to be for fun and keep in practice.

Good video The Mini 2 is a great budget drone but personally I'll be going for the Air 2 for the extra features like obstacle avoidance, better camera and tracking features

I just picked up an Air 2 with its ability to overcome strong wind being the primary reason for the choice. I live along a very windy beach on the pacific so that was a very important to me. The increased wind resistance of the Mini 2 may turn out to be perfectly sufficient, but I'd rather let other people be the guinea pigs who test that first. My secondary reason was the 4K video at 60 FPS as that allows for easy slow motion shots. And finally the tertiary reason was that it will likely be a while before the Mini 2 is available here in Peru and with covid it'll likely be another six months before I make another trip to the US. Waiting for a drone that is really my second choice didn't seem like the way to go, even if it would save a bunch of $$. Now I just hope that the *#!%ing seagulls that keep flying close to "inspect" my drone don't attack it.

Great video but I wouldn’t agree the mini 2 is tied with air 2 on video transmission, because if you read carefully on DJI’s spec page. The air 2 has a dual band occusync 2 system switching between 2.4 and 5.8 automatically, 1080p 30fps 40mbps bitrate transmission compare to mini2’s single band 720p 30 fps 8 mbps bitrate transmission. Not to mention the mini 2 also has higher latency compare to air 2’s osccusync. So I would say the mini 2 really is having a occusync 1.5 rather than occusync 2.0

Great Comparison...I seen the Title and i thought then that the MA2 was the winner...However, The Mini 2 is a drone that can get in tighter places and and it is capable of getting that good shot, plus not having to register it is nice..I agree with Sean Ozz...It's cheaper and if i crash it or sink it in water it's not a HUGE hit on the wallet..The one thing i don't Like about the mini series is the tedious screws for the props...The MA2 is like the bigger Mavic Series, easy twist and lock on Video Kelly i knew it would be, you go in depth and always informative...These kind of video's help on decision making on which to buy and what purpose they could serve..Or buy both LOL...Thumbs Up thanks Kelly

Just ordered Mini 2, I'd prefer the air 2 because if the video specs, but it's my first drone and this hopefully will be enough!

Don't let the size or weight difference make a difference carrying eather you'll not notice a difference . The air 2 beats the mini 2 hands down in everyway. I've got both and the nav pro. Only drone I reach for now is my air 2. For the money its probably best on the market 👌

I have a DJI Mavic Air 2 very happy with this drone should have bought it 3 drones ago I have owned it one year 600 flights with no problems (still learning) I would highly recommend it over the mini if $$ aren’t a issue and you don’t mind the up coming FAA regulations.

I have been wondering this very question. Thanks for posting.

The gimbal on the Air 2 also moves left and right, I don't believe the Mini 2 has that ability. Thought that was worth mentioning.

All you get in the fly more combo is 2 more batteries and a case with the mini 2. If money is tight get the $450 drone and buy an extra battery for $55 or if you have a Mini 1 battery those work also. Honesty the fly more being a $150 more is a little steep as you could buy 3 more batteries (4 total) for the same price.

Great info, thanks for confirming occusync, that was the deciding factor for me.

Pretty good. For me - Mavic Air2. Have a Fimi 2020 that flies great but the MA2 is definitely a step up for me. My 2 cents...
