First time PC builder here, my gpu was stuck, the lever was stuck and i had panic attack. When i used flathead screwdriver so hard, it clicked so loud that i thought my pcie lever snapped. Turned out it was fine, but still i got traumatized.

Avoid using a screw driver, use someting made of plastic instead, cause you can scratch the mother board.

I had an extremely tight gap that I just barely dealt with because of the size of the CPU cooler. I fabricated a "tool" by filing a notch into the end of a rigid plastic knife with my Leatherman. That allowed me to just barely grab the tab. At first, I thought it didn't work, but finally realized that I had to undo a neighboring mounting screw/cover that the GPU was getting hung up on. Pain in the ass, but I got it!

The release mechanism ---- 1) If you are unable to push it down, how do you get the card down, some Asus Boards like the b460m-a are a pain that way.
2) Which way is the mechanism supposed to be when you install the card?
