I had a friend in high school that would dislocate his shoulder so often that every time it happened he would act like nothing was happening at all, he would ask for help to put it back into place with the most poker face ever

Me: Oh, a real human skeleton, nice to meet you Geoffrey
Also me: frantically searches for missing people named Geoffrey in his area.

I like to think he’s explaining this while his patient is in the back, waiting on him to finish so he can finally fix her finger

i actually met a girl once who could dislocate her shoulders on her own and put it back in herself as well. It was pretty amazing to literally see her shoulder disconnecting as she was pretty thin. Really amazing what human bodys can do

God. He’s a rock climber, snaps bones into place and he’s a nice guy. The haters have to be crawling out of the woodwork!

As a kid, I remember my friend dislocating her shoulder while playing football with me and others. Our whole group freaked out, so one of my friends went online and found instructions on how to put a dislocated shoulder back. We ended up doing it ourselves. We later learned that it could've caused nerve damage and other complications. As a precaution, she went to the hospital with her parents to determine if there was any, there wasn't but if something like this happens for the first time, seek medical attention immediately.

I dislocated my pinkie finger several years ago at the PIP joint although the dislocation was sideways almost at a 90 degree angle, apparently the nurses had never seen anything like it; was definitely a humbling experience I'll keep with me as a reminder to be thankful for the hands we have - crazy stuff I tell ya

In kindergarten during PE the kids learn about the skeletal system, one day I pick up my 5-year-old from school and the very first thing she says is these are called phalanges while we doing her fingers. And a 5-year-old saying phalanges is the cutest thing ever

Bro. This channel has taught me so much. It's mind blowing looking at different aspects of a body. Just like you said, I was playing basketball one day when i was about 15 and my pinky got dorsally dislocated. I popped it back into place out of a pure adrenaline attack, if you will. I had never seen anything like that and it freaked me out so bad. 😅 All my friends along with myself we horrified for a good second or two. 😂

This was the first time I've seen your channel. You are an amazing teacher! I have it all memorized and I just watched the video once. Incredible. You are now a part of my son's homeschooling.

As someone with EDS who subluxes (no full dislocations yet thank goodness) joints on a regular basis, especially my thumb (dorsal CMC), this was *fascinating*! So cool to see exactly what's going on inside there.
