I just cut the first joint of my pointer finger off on my table saw on Monday October 9th. I picked it up, applied pressure below the wound with a rubber band. I cleaned the wounds thoroughly, then reattached it myself. I used my emergency medical kit that had everything I needed. I watched a video on how to attach a finger. Then I actually attached it. I apparently did a great job. It's Thursday October 12th and I feel slight pain in the tip of the reattached finger. It looks like it's going to be alright.

I've heard it's Flexor tendon before the artery, then followed by nerve and then the vein..
Is it different for this case?

Had a drill bit go through my pointing finger about 20 years ago, went to the ER, waited about 6 hours, finally got an x-ray and they stitched it up and put a sleeve over it, said I would need physical therapy. That never happened. Finger is permanently straight. 👈

Uh, actually, fun fact, I knew a guy in the Navy who completely lost his hand and had it re-attached. He’s out of the Navy getting disability now, but he has about 95% of function back in his hand after about 2 years since the incident.

I was a kid and my sis shut the door on my finger my finger was hanging from a piece of skin and dangling my mother takes my finger and puts it back on so it looked normal and my grandpa looked at it and was like it’s fine and my mom told I put his finger back on he’s what do you mean and she said his finger was not on and I put it back on. We got to ER doc did the surgery my finger kept falling off took them 6 surgeries to keep it on. Finger works and grows a nail it was a miracle but now I deal with nerve pain on it all the time might have to get it taken off 😂
