I did the control ending. It allows Shepard to technically still be alive but within the Reaper consensus. It also allows the races of the galaxy to achieve synthesis on their own terms.

So at 0:57 it shows the Turians finding the Citadel. The Turians were the last species to join the counsel and find the cit. The Asari discovered it first followed by the Salarians. The Turins were brought in and given a leading role due to their role in the Korgan wars.

The destroy ending was the only one that felt real to me. Defeating the reapers was always going to come at great cost and picking either of the other endings just seemed a bit too convenient for me, but each to their own.

My favorite ending is the one where Shepard takes control of the Reaper and makes them rebuild the shit they blowed up and guard the galaxy. Just imagine you have an entire fleet of super-space-AIs to kick the asses of every douchebag that pissed you of earlier.

Basically whichever ending you got, it all just worked out great, everything in the galaxy is perfect! All the races are getting along and raising a puppy together. In fact everything is so great in the galaxy that 4 shiploads of galactic civilians decided that they would rather live anywhere that isn’t the Milky Way galaxy, maybe they never downloaded the extended cut or something.

Synthesis is crap. There is no way that Shepard would make that choice for the whole freaking galaxy; it utterly destroys the character and the lore.

The control ending makes the most sense in my opinion, and thus it is my favorite ending. Synthesis goes against everything you have done, and essentially all you have done is turn everyone into something they don't understand.

If the development team had an extra year to flush out the game, the third and it's ending would have been much better and we probably could have seen the after effects of our decisions more. For what was given, I liked the control ending the most, that way, Reaper Shepard can help rebuild as well as make sure that the survivng races don't destroy themselves at some point in the future. Synthesis is an insult because you outright deny the races the chance to choose unity on their own, and destroy kills the geth, edi, and leaves the galaxy in ruin. A perfect recipe for in-fighting and chaotic anarchy.

Betrayal is a deliberate act, but from the Catalyst's point of view, it didn't betray the Leviathans, it just believed to understand that they were part of the problem it was meant to solve. It was not trying to destroy, but to preserve life (in Reaper form).
