I'm pretty sure at 4:35 and 5:43 he said tampon and not Tamron. Glad I am not the only one that heard it.

Welp, just like that, Tamron will never be able to produce enough marketing to undo what just happened to them! LOL

Tamron RF 35-150mm F/2-2.8 and I need new glass 🤩 I am waiting for that!

This is good news for Canon RF APS-C users. Canon, as usual, refused to make anything but consumer-grade lenses for their APS-C lineup. Given that, it's perfectly reasonable for to open this up to companies that will make enthusiast and/or pro-grade glass for APS-C RF cameras.

I was a Nikon user for 30 years, became a Canon R5 user for my first mirrorless and when the R5 II was announced at 45mp, I jumped to medium format.... which for me is perfect!

I’m not sure this means much for full frame. Canon basically said, sure, you can make high quality APS-C lenses, as we’re not interested in ever doing that..

My R7 is very happy about this news. I use
I'd like to see some Art series lens. Like the 18-35 f1.8 or 50-100 f1.8 with RF mount. The former one is amazing lens even with an adapter. But it would be slighlty more compact with an RF mount.

The two of my most wanted list are
24- 70mm f2.8 from Tampon/ Tamron 😬
85mm f1.4 art lens from Sigma

I still use a Canon 5Div, at at my age I’m unlikely to go mirrorless. On the plus side as Canon users get swap the EF lenses for mirrorless lenses, quality EF second hand lenses are coming on to the market.

Canon had like 2 aps-c lenses when they closed the mount, leaving customers no option like that was just insane

Of all the photo news/rumors channels I watch, yours is the only one that has touched on Cannon’s global shutter announcement. Thank you!

I started with a Canon crop sensor camera and bought full frame EF lenses. That decision saved $$$ and allowed an easy transition to a full frame body. I still shoot DSLR.
