Maybe you don't need 45 minutes but you can fly it more times without charging

45 minutes is great! It doesn't mean you need to utilize the full 46 minutes of flight time but it's peace of mind when you're flying and one less thing to worry about when trying to get the shot.

40 Plus minutes of flight time will be amazing when recording and filming back country skiers skiing down multiple lines in A day, recording multiple shots backpacking out here in Colorado and other various activities. Especially when temperatures are not ideal.

Having a longer drone battery could benefit live broadcast productions that are covering sports and events. It could also help out people doing aerial mapping

4:21 who needs to fly for 45 minutes? How else am I going to get that 45-minutes long 4k circling shot of a random shack out in the desert.

Note to self: Don’t be sipping on a bourbon shooter while watching a Jarad Video - it really burns when you snort it back out your nose !!

I am a photogrammetrist who uses Phantom 4 Pros for aerial mapping for a survey company. P4Pros are only drone with a mechanical shutter to minimize motion blur. New Mavic 3 has a mechanical shutter now so the more flight time I have the faster I can map for our company - You asked… I explained. Thanks Fro!

I could really use 45 minutes of flight time. We were doing a photoshoot for Ram Trucks recently, and I had to switch batteries 6 times, dude. We needed to shoot lots of different angles to give the company options. Longer battery life is always a good thing. 😁

I fly photogrammetry missions for construction sites and having a 45 minute flight time would be very beneficial! It would cut down the number of batteries I would need to bring and would therefore save me time and money.

As a biologist, I often need to survey very large areas. Longer flight times means less batteries that I have to charge every night (often in remote locations) and then carry into and out of the field.

The reason you'd want to have a drone in the air for 45 minutes, is because, to get every shot from every angle of anything (especially things like a race car that is going around a track and you'll either have to follow it, or hover in the air for a while for it to come near you each lap), you absolutely need a lot of flight time. It's rarely ever a type of thing. I have three batteries that each last around half an hour apiece and I burn through all three of them almost every time.
And, if they advertise 45 minutes, it's probably more realistically around 35 minutes. They test it just sitting there hovering with absolutely no wind to resist to give the highest flight time possible.

Extended flights could be used for hyperlapses, mapping, or for those who use UAV to do inspections

I use a drone all the time to map vegetation and check on cows. Longer flight time means I can cover more area.

Hey, I film motor racing events and on occasion having the drone in the air for an extended period is necessary. Typically forest rally events where I have to follow and return non stop to keep up with the cars coming through the stage.
