Planning an RV road trip to Baja California Mexico might seem daunting for first timer’s, but this guide to camping in Baja will answer your questions. We cover everything from crossing the Mexican border to how to find dumping stations.

Are you wondering about camping spots, RV parks, or camping on the beach in Baja California? We also share our Baja RV road trip itinerary.

The Baja California peninsula extends 1220 km (760 miles) south of the California border and is divided into two Mexican states, Baja California and Baja California Sur. The Gulf of California (Sea of Cortes) is on the east side and the Pacific Ocean is on the west side. This means there are lots of opportunities for water sports, lounging on beaches, and enjoying lots of fish tacos.

Our trip to Baja was one of the most amazing and memorable times we ever had and we hope sharing what we learned will help others plan an amazing road trip to Baja, too.

Great video, thank you very much, I found it to be very informative, as I'm planning to go to Baja, fall/winter and spring of 2025/26 (for starter). One thing which was not mentioned, when you talk of $$ are you using our loonies and twonies ? Cdn or US funds. Yes I've been following your page while you were in Baja and this week's video simply summed it up in a great way. Hope to see you out there...😁

Thanks for doing the cost breakdown and at home comparison. Eating out was definitely a bigger cost for us in Baja but experiencing the culture through food was worth it (plus we were still under our monthly budget).

So how is Wyatt and their owners Doug and Sue? Man, that's such a good tip about putting the beach balls.

Thank you so much for sharing in such detail. I hope to do this trip sometime in the next couple of years and you have taken a lot of the time consuming planning and details I would normally study myself for hours on end before hand! Thank you!

My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. Its nice having someone close to where we live in BC travel observations. We think you have given us the courage to try a Baja adventure. We have a choice to go between Feb - March or March - April for 2 months. We want to see the whales between Feb 15 and March 15 as we enjoy whale watching. We are in a 32FT Class A with a dog so we don't want it too hot . We watched all your videos but couldn't figure out the time you went into Baja except you started before Christmas. Do you any suggestions ?
