HOLY COW! This is the most comprehensive rv essential video I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched them all. VERY well done Ross!

I mounted a 50 cal amo can to the back bumper of my rv with a u-bolt to store my sewer connections. Works great and handy location.

Best RV tip video I seen! Every other video talk about emotions and crap. This video shows real details on how to live a proper rv life!

First off GREAT VIDEO! Here are a few more things depending on your viewer's skill level. Keep in mind I have been camping my entire life and mostly boon-docking so you have to be self-sufficient. At least 75% of the repairs are done on fellow campers rigs. If I do not have what you need, it will be in my rig on the next trip! Yes, Even a 110 or 24V flux core welder. Needless to say, I have issues.

-Spare wire, crimper/cutter/strippers, and an assortment of electrical connectors even wire nuts.
-Overalls, Magic Creeper (amazon), or a large cardboard box you can open up. Beats lying in the dirt, gravel or on hot asphalt if you have to under your rig for a repair.
-Consider a CO2, halotron, or fire blanket. The first time you use a standard ABC extinguisher, the powder gets EVERYWHERE. Definitely have an ABC if you need it.
-Super glue (my personal fav)
-Gorilla Glue
-SM or MED tarp
-Brake/carb cleaner
-Spare spark plug for generator
-Starting fluid
-Can of coil cleaner for refer or a/c
-Kindling Cracker Firewood Splitter (amazon) with short handle sledge hammer (3-5lb)
-Clear safety glasses
-P-Cord or small diameter rope
-Tub O Towels TW90 Heavy-Duty

A drain snake comes in handy, a shovel for poisonous snakes, a hideakey box for your camper door/vehicle

You mentioned the JumpPak to jump your tow vehicle if needed. I suggest looking at some that are built with a compressor. If you don't have power, using this battery-powered compressor will be easier than the hand pump. Even if it doesn't fill the tire completely, any help is better than needing to do it all by hand.

I might suggest putting the water regulator before the filter as some of these water filters can not handle anything higher than 60 psi such as the Clear2O filter. I discovered this after getting the new 10 micron stage 1 filter.

Also, try a 90 degree water connector with a shutoff. I have found this very helpful at times where I can shut off city water as I am flushing my black tank to get full pressure during the flush out.

There’s only one more thing I would add. This video. If anyone is thinking about getting into the RV lifestyle, they need to watch this video even before buying an RV.

Just right off the bat - I carry my drill with the bit for the jacks, but, when i bought the drill I also got a SAWZALL. I bought a pair of PRUNING BLADES for it. You would NOT believe how handy that has become. I've cut firewood, I've cut panels in my RV so I could install or fix something. Heck. I just cut stuff to cut stuff to whittle. ;-) ... Just don't cut a down tree that has a yellow jacket nest in it like my buddy did. hahahaha. A DeWalt Bit set, and Drill Bit Set are VERY handy as they have the square bits and the star bits in them. Other than that - you covered about everything I carry. Have a great time out there and see ya on the road.

We have the Hughes voltage booster because the power in our camp ground sucks. The only other thing I can think of that you didn't include, unless I missed it, is spare gaskets for the sewer hose connections. We've had a couple dry out on us and have had leaks at the connections.

Wow, that pretty much sums it up for your essentials when RV’ing. I am now on my 20th year and I am always learning something new and that is thanks to Ross and his channel. 👏

Great video! Another item I have added to my RV is pool noodles! I cut a slit down the length of each noodle and push them across the top edge of my slide until the whole length is covered (Took 2.5 noodles) so when my awning is down it is not rubbing against the top edge of slide causing possible wear and tear over time and keeps my awning in great condition😊

Thank you for all this valuable information. Your videos are really helping my husband and I to understand and prepare ourselves for going full-time in 2025. There is so much information at there. We are so appreciative!

Excellent presentation. After 6 decades of RVing I think you've got a comprehensive list of what's needed. The only thing I'd change is get rid of the junk wheel chocks and plastic squares and stick with wood in 2X6 or 2X8 pieces in one foot lengths. They are so versatile for many needs.
