Just a FYI for mangroves, it's easier to buy the propagules. The reason why is that you can acclimate them into any water conditions you want. If you plant an established sapling into a different water you will shock it and it will die. It has to be acclimated over time so you won't shock them. I learned that the hard way, I don't have a tank but I just want the tree's for the tree's.

Ice just started doing this with swamp cypress (Taxodium Distichum), another tree that grows well in standing water, though it's fresh water only. I plan on eventually growing it as a permanent "bonsai" within my planted aquarium ecosystem. I might need to try it with mangroves in a future tank 😊

I want to keep one in my tank now. Is there a special lighting requirement for Mangroves?

So, you can grow them in a tiny tank, like a 55 gallon? 😊😋
