We've all been there - something in our past, or our current situation, is less than glamorous. Maybe a little white lie, or a strategically withheld embarrassing detail will be just the thing we need to qualify for a visa.

DON'T DO IT! Former Visa Officer and Licensed U.S. Immigration Attorney Travis Feuerbacher explains why telling the truth is so important in the visa application and interview process, and what may happen if you get caught in a lie.

Lie is biggest mistake. I really liked this YouTube channel and I could easily cracked C1D Visa where I maintained honesty during interview. I had prepared DS160 . A young lady officer asked me absolutely relevant questions without prejudice and she was satisfied.

To be honest how do you answered 100% accurately your visa got declined because they judge you before looking inside you it’s depends on visa offices mood 😢😢

Unfortunately, there are still 19th century interviews in the internet century in U.S embassies! I wish you could learn how to qualify online from Canada. I was rejected two months ago in less than 30 seconds in the interview at the American embassy in Armenia, even though I am a real tourist, having traveled to more than twenty countries and three continents.

Well not necessarily for the 6C1. A lot of people get (d)(3) waivers on the NIV side, and 212(h) on the IV side, but only for IR cases.

My daughter-in-law was petitioned by her mom who is a US citizen since last 2012, I-130. My question is how long will it still take for her family to be able to come or to get a notice from NVC? The reason I asked is because it’s been 12 years already in waiting.
Thank you so much.

My sister has a nationality of US but she stay in GCC region permanently since 10 years, and she just travel to US ever year or two year maximum 14 days.
If i answered the question of “Do you have immediate relatives in US” with “No”, is this considered a case of lying ?

Dear former visa officer,
I applied about a month ago here, in Yerevan and my visa has been denied, b//b2 ...
i had/have no intention to illegaly immigrate to the usa as most of applicants have in their mind. So, what to do next time, to succeed ?
i've 2 appartments, i rent out 1 to foreigners, have financial resources. i chose new york for staying for 2 weeks, it is because of that long staying purpose they've refused me
or something elese?
i was very short in my answers ...

I have a question, does the interviewer always focus on the period of the current employment? even though I have traveled to other countries and I came back home to my home country and my bank statement is also sufficient. I got rejected a few months ago and the officer only focused on asking me how long I'd been working in my current company. Could you please advise? Thank you.

If I changed the DS 160 form and get another confirmation number and this is due to some wrong information. Is the officer has access to the old form and check the old information or not ?
