This is one of the best songs in her entire discography and I haven’t stopped thinking about it

This whole song feels like a tragic backstory of a villain. Specially when she says “I was tame, I was gentle till the circus life made me mean” I AM LITERALLY SOBBING

The vocals on this song are just insane! i mean, her screaming “who’s afraid of little old me?” and then the quieter “you should be.” it’s just amazing. she is absolutely a mastermind

I’m a 60 year old male who started actually listening to Ms. Swift about a year ago and I am now a Fan. I am so impressed with her all of her work. As for this music video, it is the best of all. The lyrics, the vocals, the simplicity of it are amazing.

The more people hate her, the more i fall in love with her and her music. They have been bashing her since she was 15. For no reason

I want to give a hug to everyone who relates even to the slightest to this song, because I do, and I need a hug so bad

I am 58 years old and some how this young lady has given me permission to not put up with people's shit. Keep on singing young lady. And thank you, you have made life a better place!

My female rage has never felt so represented and understood. I did not know I needed a song about this subject, but it came at a perfect time. This song feels like life throws you yet another curveball and you just say:
You know what? Why tf not. I'll show you just how crazy I can be. That's what you want right? Are you afraid of what you made me? You should be...

I can't stop crying at this song... I am sobbing every time. The emotions this song makes me feel is unlike anything I have ever experienced with music. This represents the final point of breakdown where the chaos of emotions and disappointments become so much it turns into empty nothings and you just sit there smiling like, sure why not. Feeling so much that you feel nothing at all, can make you turn wretched and crazy. It is the perfect combination of sad and angry.

I LOVE how in 2:36 it goes like:

"but what if it is?" ➡️ "what if it is?" ➡️ "it is?" ➡️ *"it is."*

"then say they didn't do it to hurt me, but what if they did?" ➡️ *"they did."*

GOOSEBUMPS

The fact that she used the Old English font like with Reputation says SO much.

This song is like a wonderful mix of the lyricism of My Tears Richochet, a little unhinged clapback to criticism like Blank Space, and an IDGAF attitude of Look What You Made Me Do and I'm LIVING FOR IT 🔥🔥🔥. I LOVE YOU TAYLOR!
