I had wondered about that line about Job’s fear. And I think that’s right on.

I did an exhaustive breakdown of the entire book of job a few years back and one things that I heard that I loved was a statement that essentially said;

Like Solomon was an example of the Bible’s wisest man falling so short of God’s wisdom,
Job was the example of the most righteous man in the Bible falling way short of God’s standard of righteousness.

There are so many lessons to learn from the story of Job. Importantly for me is that we are all at the mercy of God-we need him all the time. Job had human weaknesses as the rest of us but l also pray l can have his tenacity in the midst of my challenges. Imagine being urged on to sin in speech by the very people who are supposed to encourage you in the Lord, people we trust as having our back.

I just started reading Job for the first time today. It brought out my fear and lack of trust in God. It put a spotlight on it. I’ve been angry at Him. I’ve been surrendering to Him more than ever lately. He is pouring out His goodness and kindness by helping me understand what He has done for me and all of us. I am discovering the fear of the Lord more and more and it truly is a blessing but it’s tuff to swallow because of pride. Thank you for giving me this understanding it has truly blessed me.

This makes so much sense Pastor Jamal! Job does say that he feared everything that ended up happening to him before it occurred. So there was a door opened so to speak. I’m in the 9th chapter of Job already but that was something that was floating in the back of my mind always thinking that GOD just picked Job without reason. Thanks for breaking it down.

Amen, Good Revelation Praise God. Because the other things you brought up helped me to see where I was in error. And no it's not too long and you're not rambling. I've come to learn that whenever you have a desire to please God, Love His people and want to help others, God and all of Heaven will work on your behalf and cause ALL things to work together for Good.... I believe God already knew why Satan went up to Heaven in the First place .. and it was to test Job, remember God is all knowing . So I’m sure he knew Satans intentions which Is I believed the Father asked “have you considered my servant Job”?
