Living Thorns! Stick insect has multiple defenses

This is spiky stick insect is armed thorns and some other really unusual defense mechanisms! I spotted this one searching for rare frogs in the rainforests of east central Ecuador. #shorts #insects

Stick bugs if you get the smell into your eyes it will hurt for hours or even a day i’ve done it before
