Philippines earthquake today | 4.2 magnitude earthquake rocks Ormoc

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake near Ormoc, Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines, was reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world.
The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 1 km beneath the epicenter early afternoon on Friday, July 15th, 2022, at 3:18 pm local time.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake as well.

Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should have been widely felt by almost everyone in the area of the epicenter. It might have caused light to moderate damage.
Moderate shaking probably occurred in San Pedro, located 3 km from the epicenter.
In Burauen, located 6 km from the epicenter, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Tanauan, located 26 km from the epicenter, Ormoc, 26 km away, Palo, 28 km away, Abuyog, 29 km away, Baybay, 31 km away, Tacloban City, 37 km away, and Panalanoy, 38 km away.
