He later learned it was in fact sagging

I just use a 100 year old dining table that has sturdier legs than Shaquille o'neal doesn't even bend under 125kg

I love how overly confident you are when it is in fact bending

I used to work as an office furniture installer, if you don't want a middle leg you can also get what's known as a stiffener (hehe), it's basically a square metal tube that you drill into the back bottom of the table that basically forces the table to keep it's shape and seconds as really good wire organizer/hider if you have an outlet or power strip off one of the sides

Just a little reminder, the camera you showed is a cannon m50 wich is a mirrorless camera (thats what its called) a DSLR is an entirely different camera...

1. It's still sagging in your phone video.
2. Most, if not all people get the KARLBY. It's called the IKEA Special for a reason.
3. If you don't put a leg in the middle, they will all sag, because they are made of particle board with 1/4" veneer. Particle board bends. It will always bend.

If you don't want it to sag, either add a leg in the middle or get a butcher block.

“I shot this video on my phone” The most horrendous cable management known to man.

i work at ikea in the kitchen department, i think i sell those countertops more for desks than for actual kitchens, lmao. the most popular one is the karlby walnut, since it has a warmer color than the oak

I have the same setup and glad I spent extra for a quality top. Makes me feel better with me investing extra on it. Such a great desk!

I ordered the EKBACKEN, and it's superb.

White, gray underside, super strong and half the price of the cheap one discussed here.

Hearing people try to pronounce Swedish names in ikea kills me inside.

I have the exact same Karlby/Alex drawer setup. Except in black. Same countertop length also. I used small stick on feet on top of the drawers to not scratch anything. I have a 55in Tv in the middle, full atx pc, cameras, 3d printer, laptop and other stuff and it has no sag. Drawers are in the same place as yours also, on the extreme edges of the top.

Lmao turns out his desk was indeed bending 😂😂

You could also make a grove under the table and screw in a metal bar if you are really worried about the stability of your table. It wouldn't be visible in that application.

both Karlby and Saljan are made of particle board and therefore are the same in terms of strength, only the finish is different. Karlby finished with wood veneer and Saljan is laminated.

The camera is also the reason why girls in real life don't look like the ones in those videos you watch in the bathroom...
