I just bought two from IKEA directly for store pickup tomorrow. They had black in stock too, but I chose white.

Why buy what everyone else has? Because they look good. The drawers you chose have so much of a gap you’ll see the items in your drawers all the time…it’s like they can’t decide if they are drawers or shelves.

Alex drawers are a cool price. I waited fir them and pick up what i could. I like it because of the drawer range. The alex drawers are actually cheaper than what I’m looking for. So its whatever works for everyone.

I ordered my Alex drawers on Sunday afternoon and got them Monday morning in the dark color. No issues here. They look great!

I think its kinda overatted for how many people using it although they look good personally I like extended L standing desks more because they have a lot of space and are super durable.

Note:Ok maybe not all but most of them are.

The reason people buy Alex drawers so much is because you can attach it to table tops, and have an actual table that's more stable.
Those Micke Drawers are used to having it near a Micke Table, And you cant attach it to a table top. Plus, it isnt that safe having drawers not attached to a table top, and just makes it a constant risk having one of the drawers move a bit having all your equipment broken.

Depends on the country. I just purchased 6 for a massive family L shape desk. (Australia) always in stock here. Pretty good quality for $120 ea

I bought the Alex drawers 12 years ago or more, since I worked at IKEA at the time I was close enough to grab them when they were in stock and I also had a 15% staff discount. Still have them, with a frosted glass desktop that IKEA don't sell anymore.

Alex drawers are deeper than Micke. I am considering buying them piece by piece because I have a craft room I want to organize. I live in an apartment, so building shelves is a nah, and I dont have a lot of money. Honestly if i get it one piece at a time when I have the funds, it shouldnt be too bad a setup.
