To those of you with the clamp slowly lowering, clean all the lubricant off the area where you are clamping the cylinder.

You have to do it on the bottom, not the top, and the move according to set height.

No this does not work. Not enough friction for the clamp to hold the height with my (normal adult) weight. Tested.

Pls HELP me! My chair was making noise and didn't have sinking problem so I sprayed wd40 everywhere. Now my chair started to sink but just 1-2 inch (3-5cm) it has been few days still didn't change.
