This is the most boring watch because when you get it you lose interest in the other watches you own. No flaws, just perfect

I have the 40mm version and haven’t worn any other watches in my collection since purchasing it. I love it!

Someone who enjoys this watch and brand for the right reasons. You are the opposite of the "nouveau riche" mentality that doesn't know anything about watches but gets Rolex to be flashy. Refreshing to see younger guys with your mindset! Love your channel!

I own an Air King purchased new in the 90s, it’s still a stunning watch to look at and keeps great time.

For size reference, would you please share your wrist size?

Great review. I can verify everything you stated about the Explorer. In the 18 years I have worn mine, it has seen multiple adventures, whether on a mountain peak, or scuba diving in places throughout the world. Besides its Everest pedigree, it was worn by Ian Fleming when he wrote the James Bond novels. It is a great under the radar watch, but if someone recognizes your wearing one, it will open doors for you.

I also love this watch. The only change I wish they'd make is to use the glide lock bracelet that they have on the Daytonas and other models.

I had mine since 1985, for me it’s the perfect watch for any occasion.

An awesome time piece!
Explorer 36, submariner, 5610 g shock = my perfect 3 watch collection. The trouble is my collection is at 50 pieces and I only have one wrist 😂

I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of gussl. Their timepieces are of exceptional quality.

Amazing watch!!!

I'm torn between this, or going for a two tone Datejust as my next one.

I feel the same about this with my Black Bay 54. It's a proper GADA that suits up or down and that timing bezel is so useful for day to day Terra Firma activities. Beautiful, just beautiful.

I have a 40mm Explorer and it’s the daily driver.

The current 124270 is a great watch but I passed on this for an older 14270 with tritium dial. The 124270 has a better movement, bracelet and of course lume. Despite all that, I prefer the 20mm lugs, the smaller 369 and hour markers on the older 14270. For me the dial proportions just look better on the 14270. Anyone considering the current model should at least consider the 14270 first, you might prefer it. Both are great watches.

Amazing watch my friend. Do you prefer the Oyster perpetual or the Explorer?

great watch but i dislike the broad numerals. I wish they went with a more classic arabic numeral like the 1016

Ah young padawan, you've much to experience. I started my Rolex journey with the Explorer about 13 years and a couple hundred luxury watches ago. I've now graduated up to two-tone Sub bluesy. My similarly styled IWC's and Omega's now fill the role that the Explorer once did. It surely is a beautiful rabbit hole.
