Good BBQ shirt. I really enjoyed 'The Siberia Job' a white-knuckle ride! The author expertly captures the chaos of post-Soviet Russia with a flair for tension and historical detail. It's a 'can't-put-down' kind of book - fast-paced, exhilarating, and packed with suspense!

Such a lovely garden! I could have sworn I spotted Mrs. Dalloway with a book in her hand. After many years of holding my bookcase down, I'm reading To Serve Them All My Days. I fell in love with the story when Masterpiece theater did a brilliant page to small screen adaptation decades ago. Thanks so much for the Last Summer on State Street recommendation. Since it is a close to home novel, I will definitely put it on my reading list. Enjoy your summer, Mr. Anderson. From across the pond, greetings from Chicago, USA.

It's winter here, so it's cosy reads for me. I'm reading a few classics before Booker season commences.

Saving these recommendations for summer in New Zealand. It's very wet and miserable right now with huge thunderstorms. Also, lol that you time stamped the fly attack. 😅

Read Leila Slimani, the book that bring her important prize in France, a title is something like Lullaby. It is perfect. I am very glad to read two more books from her that I bought. But this is not a beach read and it is very dark.

I’m looking forward to concluding the Ali Smith quartet with the advent of Summer. It’s been a great read this past year and I love her inclusion of art and artist in the books.

Goshawk Summer sounds like something I would enjoy reading. I absolutely love reading outdoors surrounded by the sounds of nature. Washington Black is one those on my bookshelves I still need to read also.

My TBR list is actually a group of books from your previous videos--The Night Watchman/Jonathan Strange/Underworld/ The Luminaries/Trust/and a deep dive into the infamous brawl at the Hugo Awards. Thank you for your great videos!

Hungry Ghosts sounds excellent and I’ve also taken note of Goshawk Summer. Happy list for summer reading Eric. It is actually my winter but as I live in a sub tropical climate to me it is a perfect time of year with the added advantage of no humidity! Your garden looks wonderful.

Hi Eric, I'm escaping the cold Melbourne winter soon and heading to the UK and Spain for a warm break. My Kindle will accompany me, of course. I've already recommended Thirst For Salt to you. I really hope you love it as much as I did.

I read Last Summer on State Street last year and really enjoyed it - I love the narrator's voice, and I also think it gives a great sense of place and time (the author grew up in the projects she writes about, which are scheduled for demolition at the time of the story). I *loved* Spaceman of Bohemia - I'm very much looking forward to his new book! I'd also like to get to Hungry Ghosts.

Washington Black was amazing, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it, have put Hungry Ghosts on my list to read, thank you . I’m currently reading The Moon represents my heart by Pim Wangtechawat, from your June book haul list, really enjoying it, so lyrical .

I am interested in Goshawk Summer. I remember reading H is for Hawk (a novel) long ago and hawks are such intriguing creatures. (I also prefer reading indoors, Eric.) PS your shirt is awesome and brings out your beautiful blue eyes. 💙
